As always, take every review with a grain of salt, and whenever possible, visit the field for yourself to make your decision. Any opinion expressed by a contributor is to be considered his/her own personal opinion and not the opinion of the BOLP staff, teams, or any other forum members.

All right here it comes all the nasty and good nice and long review with as less spelling mistakes I can make wink.gif

update:
Please take my criticism as good not bad I didn’t try to down monster in anyway I’m sure that it would be a fine place for a new player to start it has just what they need a nice video to help them understand the basics and have the games for them to get into it with other people at they’re level

field:
it wasn’t that great to be honesty one and i thought i saw to reball but only for practices the field for real paint was all right set up sucked ass didn’t really do that well of a job the field was just like planet and for those that haven’t herd of planet or been there its just like walking on paint u could slide like 20 feet in which u don’t have the right shoes u couldn’t get off break well unless u used the dead box as a push off but back the the layout no to many lanes at all u couldn’t see as well as i would have thought u could (needs more lighting) then there were these poles with cameras on them to watch game play they got in the way u could really work to well with them they got in the way some times the netting wasn’t great at all....... dry.gif it was a pain i got into the dead box and WACK right in the gonads throw the dead box netting (witch was the same netting as the fields netting) but overall the kept the bunkers clean the turf wasn’t in to bad shape the field wasn’t to much of a weird shape the FPS was 265 for semis and 275 for pumps now i think the cono goes in field cuz its in with the field it sucked was in the back left corner behind netting everyone only got conoed once never again

REFFS:
omg it was so bad never got a paint check called it like 20 to 30 times not one came they didn’t do nothing in game play but sitting behind the netting in the center they were so slow all the really did was let us on the field and call games in which they did a bad job at they would be a 10 sec burn and then some wouldn’t and they wouldn’t even check to see if teams were ready u could be out at 50 and they would go 3...2....1...gogogogo and ur just like CRAP they did check barrel bags there was like maybe 3 to 2 reffs on the field they sometimes had they masks off well people were just shooting at something they took the time doing they stuff they had to do it was so sad i have never seen that bad reffing before

setup:
now setup i call the building and staff and players area the building was huge maybe like three house like two story house put together they had rugging every where they had a proshop never had time to get in there but right as u walk in ull see the proshop then another window were u register then u see a bunch of chairs like u would see at a doctors office and a big screen TV watching the paintball field and then another small TV for the normal TV channels then u got this small room in the back were if uv never played there u have to go in and watch this safety video witch nothing in there is really followed then when u get past the chairs and stuff there is the reball field right there behind the chairs then to the right there is a ramp up to staging area with just like a counter for ur stuff not chairs and the air fill spot is up there and then the field with the bathrooms in the back this place has like so many cameras for viewing the place lots of windows to view the field the temp wasn’t to cold or to hot it was just about right parking wasn’t bad

fills:
wasn’t that great but wasn’t bad it took a little while to get ur tanks filled that wasn’t one of the bad parts of this place

waiting time:
ok this was like the worst part we would wait like 15-20 mins to get back into another game it was so slow...... dry.gif it stunk as i said before the reffs took forever to get the games started

_______________________________________________

over all though I had fun I’m sure the rest of bolp had fun and that’s what really matters it was a fun time facing other pump players i had a blast other then the prices but whatever u can get over that

Overall, I had a lot of fun, and would go back for another event. For indoor paintball, choices are limited, but Monster would be my top recommendation out of any indoor fields that I have played at (I have not played at any new fields in Bow or Concord).

PROS:

- The field was really clean for an indoor field. Slide distances were about equal to outdoor field slides, not insane lengths like you can get at more paint covered fields (boston/planet). I was wearing cleats and traction was great, no slips off of break or while running.
- The bunkers were cleaned regularly and I didnt get any bunker rub on me all day.
- There was a ton of room in the staging area for all your gear. Plenty of counter space at a good height for teching guns or just setting gear on.
- Safety was enforced pretty well. Usually a ref was at the exit of the field watching for barrel bags as players exited.
- Air fills went fine. The air counter was crowded, but there was rarely a wait. I didnt see any bad fills go out and with the 3.5oz tanks we usually get at least one a day. They check each tank for hydro and are observant of any issues. My tank had a sticker on it that said "do not use" in caps on it and they came back and said they wouldnt fill it with that sticker on it. I was impressed by this as a lot of fields wouldnt even bother reading it.
- Maximum players on the field at one time was enforced. I think they capped it at 7v7, with very few games going 8v8 (pump games where everyone wanted to play). I hate playing with 20 people on one side trying to triple up in every bunker.
- Bathrooms were pretty clean and had plenty of stalls/urinals/sinks. I didnt have to wait at any point. Watch out if you are wearing cleats because the tile floor gets slippery.
- The paint we had (DXS Blaze) was great. It was pretty consistent through the Freaks, flew straight, and broke on target. I didnt notice any dimpled balls or soft shells. It seems like it was taken care of properly, or was just very fresh.
- Check-in was easy and fast. The person behind the counter was friendly and informative and willing to answer any questions we had.
- Prices were very reasonable for both entry fee, paint, and any gear in the pro-shop.
- The staging area was plenty secure. I felt safe leaving my gear sitting out while I went to the lower area to catch up on the scores of the pats game, or when I was out on the field. *As always, this is my personal opinion. I dont want to be responsible if you leave your gear out and it does get stolen*
- Lighting was fine. You could see across field without any issues. A mirrored or tinted lense would be too dark, but a clear lense works fine.
- The owner is very friendly and it seems like he really cares about what is going on.

CONS:

- Reffing was terrible/non-existent. There were two refs on the field, but they wouldnt call anyone out, do paint checks, or get involved in a game in any way. They split up teams (very slowly) and counted down the start. We never knew if there was going to be a burn until it was called.
- Down time in between games was excessive. I sat way more than I played, and I think our group played more than anyone else today. We would sit at the entrance and wait for a game to go out. Cleaning takes a lot of downtime and I think that a happy medium could be reached between cleanliness and downtime between games.
- Cheating players. This was the worst part of my day and I apologize for getting so worked up about it. This is a really hard issue to tackle and is not really the fields fault, but it did have a huge impact on the overall feeling of my day, an Im sure it had the same impact on new players days as well.
- No cleaning stations for masks.
- Chrono setup was terrible. The chrono was off in the corner of the field. You are not allowed to chrono while a game is in progress, so when new players come on and need to chrono, the games are delayed. There isnt a whole lot of room to chrono, so that delays things as well. You need to wait for the person in front of you to be completely out of the way before you can start.
- No re-chrono at all throughout the day, even after air fills. No spot checks on the field of chrono speeds either.
- Field layout wasnt the greatest. I dont know if they change it up or not, so this might not be an issue every time.

INDIFFERENT:

- No chairs in staging. There are chairs in the lower area if you need to sit down.
- TVs in the lower area allow you to watch the game currently on the field. The cameras are low resolution and the angles arent that great though.
- Entrance to field safety. This is hard to explain, and it doesnt really bother me, but it was something I noticed that I would most certainly change. The entrance to the field has netting hung on each side, but the netting is not insurance grade and hangs open the whole time. There is a chance that balls could bounce out into the entrance hallway area where players stand to wait for the next game to go out (with masks off). There were also splats all over the wall at the top of the hallway and some at the bottom. I didnt see any balls hit, so I cant say if that was from today, or if it was old and that problem has been fixed.
- Safety video was old and outdated as well as boring and uninformative. I think a much better, more interactive briefing could be put together and given by a ref. The ref did a good job of explaining the workings of the rental markers to the new players, and I dont think it would take much for him to be able to give a great briefing without having to watch a stupid video. The video makes people laugh and talk over the safety topics, interfering with new players ability to hear what they need to know.
- Support poles on the field never really got in the way of my shooting, but they threw off my game a little bit when playing a bunker that they were next to. There werent that many of them, so it was rarely an issue.

i suck at grammer so bear with me.

Field: the paint in the turf sucked no traction off the break. the bunkers were extreemly nice they were kept clean. the crono sucked so much, it was off in the corner and you couldn't chrono your gun and get ready before the game that was extreemly retarded. i thought the field lay out was extreemly fun.

refs: sucked... wicked lazy extreemly slow. called for paint checks every game and none of the times a ref came.

fills: sucked... got my 68/45 filled. only went up to 3500.

wateing: sucked... had to wate so long to get to the next game... atleast it gave me time to watch the pats game laugh.gif

paint: me and a friend split a case so we payed 15 bucks a bag... even thou i ended up shooting less then 200 balls. i thought the price wasn't horrible and the paint was very good... it was a little bouncy but i took my fare share of bounces so i'm not guna complain.

overall: i must say i loved it. so much better then planet paintball. you guys were a blast to play with. i had one of the best playing days i've ever had. basicly went snake 2 into 50 left aztek almost every game. averaged shooting about 10 balls a game getting useually 2 people out... my aim was just wicked on. i was running a black dropout phantom with the 8 ball pump it was my first time playing speedball all pump and it was one of the most fun times i've ever had. cant wate to play again. of course i forgot to bring my new etek... i had so much spare paint could of played atleast 3 games of semi.

anyway overall was good
