Welcome to Icicle Inn ~ Part IV


A Secret Revealed



Squall walked over to the door and opened it, leading into the school. Zell and Irvine decided it would be best for them to stay behind and make sure they were't followed. Squall led everyone else into the garden. It was a bit confusing, but Squall seemed to know the way. "You seem to know this place pretty well." said Cid after a little while.
"Well, I've been here a lot of times." replied Squall. The reached the Lobby eventually. Cid looked up towards the ceiling in awe.

Squall sowed them to the elevator and they all got in. Squall took out his key card and the elevator went up to the 3rd floor. They got out and Squall showed them to the left. The stopped at a set of doors. "This is where we once fought Edea. If anyone's in this building, they'll be in here." Said Squall, leaning against the wall.
"Well we'll ever know if you don't open em!" replied Cid.

Squall pushed open one door and everyone followed into the Auditorium (sp?). They looked around and at the stage. At first they saw nothing, but then someone walked out onto the stage. It was a man in a cloak. It was, the emperor.

The Emperor stood on the stage with the hood of his cloak up. They way he was standing made him look as if he'd been there a while. It seemed like he was waiting for them. Squall drew his weapon and held it close. Cid tightened his grip on his spear. They were all preparing for battle. Something was going to happen soon. There was a cool chill in the air, and it gave Cid a bad feeling. He was still questioning himself to where Lance went. Why would he just leave like that? And where to?

Cid came out of thought when the emperor started pacing back and forth. Under the hood you could barely see an unshaded smile. The emperor had been waiting. Before they had time to react the doors closed behind them. Cid looked back and heard them lock. He though to himself "No one was outside, how did they close?".

When he looked back forwards the emperor was holding his hand in the air. "Did the emperor just do that?", thought Cid.

The emperor lowered his hand, then walked back behind the curtains.Squall went to chase after him, but stopped. From behind the curtains came Ultimecia, and boy did she look happy. She wasn't going to let at Squall so easily like last time. Squall charged onto the stage and stood a couple feet in front of Ultimecia. "This doesn't look to good. Where are you Axel?", thought Cid.

Cid then looked over to Yuffie then back at the stage.

"It's a shame Axel's gonna miss this.", said Cid. Then he started walking towards the stage.

Cid stopped in front of the stage, and looked up at Ultimecia and Squall. Squall had Lionheart drawn and held it closely. Ultimecia was smiling then went back and sat down on a chair. She laughed menacingly.

"How nice to see you again", she said "SeeD.... Hahahahaha! You Kursed SeeD stand no chance now."

"Why is that..?", asked Squall.

"Bekause this time, you are alone!"

Suddenly a blue barrier surrounded the stage. Cid stumbled back a bit, then ran towards it. He went up and slammed against it. He pounded and pounded but the barrier was sealed shut. Squall was alone.... Cid cursed and kicked the barrier. "NO! DAMNIT!", he yelled.

Squall looked around a bit startled then back at Ultimecia. He was nervous. Last time he had his friends to help him out. But now... Now he was alone. What Squall was always afraid of. Never the less, he was still going to battle her. She stood up, then smiled again.

"Kursed SeeD... You are doomed!"

Cid turned around and heard footsteps. "Who the hell?" He thought. He gripped his spear tightly and got closer to the door. It may have been one of the Emperors followers. Or maybe something even worse.

Cid fell back and splinters of wood showered everywhere and onto him. He held up his arm to sheild himself from the slivers of wood. Then he lowered his arm and looked over to OWX.

"Axel? AXEL!" He shouted, standing up. He was a bit confused about the talk of demons though.

"Demons? Axel, where were you?"

*OWX was too enraged to even listen to Cid. He started charging energy in the lower mouth while he blasted balls of black and red fury with his hands at the barrier. He stopped at nothing to try to break it down. He had a menacing look on his already demonic face. The kind of face that can make a grown man wet his pants...*

The barrier soon lowered. Squall was flung out and slammed against a wall. Ultimecia looked angry now.

"What is it?! More SeeD?", she said. Looking over to OWX. "Hm hm hm... Very intresting. Klearly you don't understand what you're up against. Greiver shall show you no mercy..."

Ultimecia then made a movemeant. There were a few crashes of lightning. Then the garden started getting torn up by high winds. The roof of the auditorium was ripped of by a giant gust, and Griever then appeared.

*As soon as Griever appeared, OWX had already finished charging up his energy and immediately fired at Griever in an instant, while a huge black, demonic sword was seen materializing in OWX's hands* Rrrrr....

Griever was hit and flew back into a remaining wall and crushed it. Griever got back up a growled loudly. He then started flapping his wings and flew above OWX . He then charged down at OWX attempting to pierce him with one of the spikes on his arms.

Cid was trying to avoid any interaction with the fight for now. He ran over to where Squall landed and checked to see if he was alright. Cid knelt down next to Squall, who was leaning against a wall, barely concious. His head was bleeding and had wounds all over him.

"Squall.. Can you hear me?", said Cid.

Squall just nodded, his eyes were closed. Cid checked to see if he had an elixer, but couldn't find one.

"Hang in there Squall. You'll be all right. Don't die on me!"

Cid then turned his head towards Yuffie.

"Yuffie get over here! I need your help!"
