Name: Elie Marie Rudder
Age: 19
Affiliation/Loyalties/Religion: Christian
[B]Occupation (if a commoner):
Flower girl (You know, the type that sells pretty flowers in the market place ^^")

Physical Description: Elie Marie is not quite as tall as the rest of her family, standing at 5' even. However, she makes up for that in her looks. She has an hourglass figure, accented by her slenderness. Despite the fact that she is a commoner, Elie is considered rather pretty. She has long, golden hair and piercing green eyes.

Elie carries herself proudly when she wishes to be noticed, but when she wants to "fade into the background", she lowers her face and tries to blend in. She has a somewhat olive complexion, which would contrast with her hair if it was more noticeable. Her most distinguishing feature would have to be her eyes. They express her emotions clearly, even when she tries to hide them. ((I'm going to add a signature as soon as I get a good pic ^^))

Personality: Elie is a passionate young teenager who would rather live in adventure than spend the rest of her days selling flowers on the streets. When she can afford it, she is often found reading or writing. Elie may not look like much of a fighter, but she can be stubborn at times. However, she is kind and sweet as well, not to mention extremely clumsy when she's shy. She's not easily angered, having gained the virtue of patience from her parents. She is well-mannered, and tries to be understanding of anyone she meets.

Detailed History: Elie's mother, Eleanor, was Italian and met her father, Gregory, in Britain when she was 19 and he was 30. They fell in love rather quickly and married. They tried to have children for ten years, each pregnancy ending in a miscarriage. Finally, though, they had a baby girl they called Elie Marie (pronounced like Elli). Her father, a printer, decided that Elie was to have the best education she could get. Being an educated man, he taught her himself. That way, he decided, she would have more options in life. Her mother, however, thought it more proper that Elie learn the ways of a florist and taught the child these things while Gregory was at work.

Elie's childhood was pretty much uneventful until she reached 16. It was then that her mother Eleanor contracted a severe illness. The doctors they brought in were at a loss as to what it was, and could do no good. Her mother died on the day of Elie's 17th birthday. Her father, although heartbroken, could not bear to close Eleanor's shop down. So, he allowed Elie to run it for him. However, within a year, he died of his "old age" on Elie's 18th birthday. His printer shop shut down, and Elie was forced to sell the flowershop to pay the rent. Eventually, she had to move to a smaller home as well. She has since stopped celebrating her birthday.

The new flower-shop owner decided to keep Elie on as a flower girl, since she was obviously the most qualified. However, he is pretty much a jerk to her. But he pays her, so Elie doesn't say anything. Now, she works however she may. She has even begun hiring herself out to do the floral decorations for nobles and royalty, if they'll take her. It isn't her dream, but it is a way to bring in the money.

Strengths: Elie's strengths are her patience, and her understanding towards others. She is strong-willed and trust-worthy. Even if she was threatened with death, she would not tell a secret someone entrusted her with.

Weakness: However, Elie is too nice and will often let others walk all over her. She tends to agree with others even if she truly disagrees with them. But, Elie is trying hard to work on that. Also, she is not physically strong (being of a delicate build). Anyone could overpower her, and she can't defend herself.

Additional Information: Elie has one companion, a stray dog she befriended a few years ago. It follows her closely, sort of as her protector. She calls him "Wolf".

------------------

Roleplay Sample: Elie walked the streets of the town, smiling and nodding greetings to those she knew. Beside her, Wolf trotted at his own leisurely pace, tongue lolling in his mouth. Occasionally he would glance up at her with his strange amber eyes and give a yip. She merely smiled at him for this.

The sky was turning an assortment of oranges and pinks from the setting sun. It would be dark by the time she returned to her house, but that didn't bother Elie. She had Wolf with her. Besides, she had somewhere important to be.

She turned onto a beaten, dirt path that went up a hill and led to an iron gate. Gently, Elie pushed the gate open, cringing as it creaked. Even Wolf whined at the noise. Smiling again at the dog, she made her way through the gate and into a graveyard. Many people didn't go to one so late into the day, fearing all sorts of spirits. But Elie found it a lot more comforting at this time.

Eventually, she found herself standing before two white gravestones. There was a small angel statue between them, its arms extending to touch both. A caption under the statue said, "Together in life, together in death." Elie wiped a hand across her eyes as she placed fresh flowers on both graves. It was that time of year again.

"Hello, Mother. Hello, Father," she said, kneeling in front of the two graves. Wolf sat a bit away from her, standing guard it seemed.
