Yeah, here the first episode wasn't even listed because TV Guide thought the news on before it went for an hour at 8. then the second episode was preempted by some kind of countdown to March Madness and didn't even come on until 3:30. I'm just glad they played both of them at all...

I mean, what can we do? Disney XD is too cool for Power Rangers now

They both should be up on Youtube and Isohunt quite soon if not already. I'll probably want to watch them again online anyway... because I'm not going to lie... That was pretty awesome...

Comments on The Road to Corinth & Fade to Black
-The background explanation was good, I liked the scene of the landfills of old computers. I'm glad Venjix's takeover wasn't an afterthought with suddenly complacent humans allowing a virus to take over the world without any kind of resistance.
-The theme song will take some getting used to. Its weird seeing Go-On Red, Blue Yellow and Black without Green. No spoilers of what happens after the premier episodes I guess. but its not like Dillon has even morphed yet.
-Dillon and Ziggy seriously stole the show. What do we even know about Scott, Flynn, and Summer? Well... Scott is Colonel Truman's second son and a bit of an arrogant prick. Flynn is bus-driver and a mechanic with a kind of fake-sounding Scottish accent. Summer is... There. Kind of.
-The Grinders (not named after a sandwich) all sound like old printers. Wasn't the monkey monster last season called Grinder? No, not Monkeywi...
-So Dillon doesn't know his name, but has a preference on what he would like to be called? He could have picked something more suiting...
-So Kitaneidas, the most INTELLIGENT member of GaiArk is made into the comic relief villain? He might even be worse than Norg... And that's saying a helluva lot.

Rumors is that this is the last season of PR.

All we know for sure is that they aren't filming in New Zealand anymore, but if it is the last season then we can only hope that the rest of it doesn't suck (with the EP changing halfway through the season and all). Plus I'll have plenty of time to procrastinate on my Shinkenger adaptation story...

Comments upon second viewing of TRtC and FtB
-I think Dr. K has watched just a bit too much Death Note
-It seems that their method for making Go-Onger footage less kiddy is to take out the Zord's voice boxes and turn the monsters into screaming wild animals. Why is the robot roaring exactly?
-So Corinth is on the east coast? Funny, I was expecting it to be in California like every other seemingly important location on earth in the PR universe.
-I'm disappointed in them for letting "Engine Cell", the weapon names and "Go-Onger" slip under the radar. We can read you know!
-So Dillon is an brooding amnesiac cyborg? I wonder how the Gold Ranger is going to top that...
-I'm surprised that there's actually music with lyrics. We haven't had that since... Well last season actually...
-"Hand me that." Dillon's lollipops are funny. What's even more funny is that people thought they were cigarettes in the promo. A smoking Ranger? Of course, with Disney stuff like that gets under the radar all the time.
-Why do we need flashbacks to one year ago when the main trio appear. Are we not supposed to remember them from the beginning of the episode?
-Cool that they keep their Shift Cells in their VIP tags.
-The morph is cool, I'd definitely like to see them one at a time though at least once rather than all at the same time squished together.
-I guess Flynn is supposed to be the strong man of the group. Strange, since Renn was the smart one in Go-On. Its weird seeing the suits used that way.
-Weird seeing the credits over the end of the episode. I know ABC Kids tends to do that with PR, but its strange because for RPM its not really an "ending" so to speak. Both end in a sort of sudden way.
-Yellow seems to be shooting a Kamehameha wave in the opening. What the hell?
-"Down-morphing"?
-The summoning of the Engine Casts looks far less like they're playing with the toys in this version.
-Why is Red's vehicle the "Eagle Zord" but all the others have their toy names?
-The name "Bear Crawler" makes me hungry...
-The Zord eyes blinking is kind of odd considering they're just vehicles here (Bio-Tech or not), but I guess it can't be avoided. strangely, BC's mouth flapping doesn't bother me as much.
-Dillon sounds like he's channeling Flynn when he says "I hate Grinders"
-If we could all refuel our cars like Dillon, that whole gas crisis thing would have been no big deal *Punches dash*
-"Attack Sequence Mustang"? I know the RPM toyline is making real car brand Zords now, but sheesh...
-"Super Saber"... That's clever, I'm sure it took them hours to think of that.
-The picture of the High Octane with Wolf attachment shown looks like it was taken directly from the Bandai instruction booklet. Interesting that they'd show that so soon too.
-The Ranger suit cases look like they're covered in plastic wrap. Did they just paint the HQ or something?
-Is the Corinth jail... In cave? What the hell?
-Ziggy telling the guards "everything" was pretty hilarious.
-Dillon keeps talking about gas. I know he's part machine, but... Doesn't this man have any other interests?
-Interesting that they show the monster from Grand Prix 2 since it probably wont appear (Assuming the next episode "Rain" uses Spray Banki like everyone thinks).
-Wait so the world-enslaving robot thinks the most terrifying thing he can create is a robot that looks like a human? I know humans are supposed to be the most destructive animals, but these guys are machines, they probably kill millions of humans in a day. So frightening...
-That shadow-puppet doesn't even look physically possible...
-Why am I not surprised Ziggy is a pretty popular guy in jail?
-I'm sure a lot of fights in prison get started over the flavor of Jell-O... Why the hell don't the guards do anything?
-What kind of accent is Ronin supposed to have? It seems like they wanted a mafia stereotype, but the only guy they could get to do the voice was an Asian guy.
-The Jell-O keeps changing shape during the fight, just watch it as he throws it up in the air. It goes up and comes down looking completely different from when he put it on his tray.
-This is a wierd-a$$ prison
-"Sweet Mother Molasses" indeed...
-So they think Dr. K is a man? She doesn't even sound like one with the distortion!
-When people are pointing guns at me with me covered in the most chains I think anyone has ever been restrained by... I'm usually most concerned with the color spandex I'll be wearing in the future...

Seriously?

Well, the Zords don't talk... And its cut well enough so that there's no random mouth movements that would seem to imply speech like Kalish probably would have left in (or cut down the entire Zord scene to about 30 seconds, that seems more his style). The monster doesn't talk (and its implied that future monsters wont either in some news about other VAs on the project), which was probably a smart move, but giving them deeper and scarier voices would have probably had the same effect.

I'm happy enough with the change. Talking mecha and quirky MoTDs were Go-Onger's style, but this isn't Go-Onger.

I got two power ranger figures at the sale going on at TRU right now.

The ones I got didn't come with points for the sticker book though.

BTW, did anyone get a stickerbook yet or not?

I stopped caring about the stickers after they started coming pre-stuck. Lam0rZ.

Man, the Zord names are all over the palce in RPM. For anyone not playing attention heres the list (First is the Japanese name, then the BOA name, and last the in-show name):

Speedor - Eagle Racer / Eagle Zord - "Eagle Zord"

At first it seems that BoA is going for the "Animal Name + Word that ends in -Er" motif, but then the show calls the Eagle Racer something different and suddenly everything is "Something + Zord" except for a few.

Its weird that after all the babbling on about how Ranger Series Black is needed to add firepower to the High Octane Megazord they completely skip the episode where Gunpherd combines with EngineOh... I'm kind of glad because its the first time we've skipped an episode of Go-Onger this season (which is important because we're only getting 32 episodes and its better to skip unimportant episodes early on rather than having no time for the footage for the second half and rushing 20 episode down to 5 like they did with Jungle Fury and Mystic Force), but why THAT episode? That was the SOLE reason why Dillon is a Ranger to begin with.

I watched a episode today.

Isn't this the last city on earth? THE LAST HOPE FOR MAN KIND? And they have a bunch of kids just sitting in the highly important control room which could possiblely be attacked at anytime (seeing as the force field for the city seems to be as reliable as a grunt taking down a gundam).

For "END OF THE WORLD" it doesn't seem all that grim dark.

If you want to go for kiddy please go for it. If you're going for grimdark GO FOR GRIMDARK. IN BETWEEN DOESN'T WORK. NOT AT ALL.

Also Yellow's back story makes me sad. Its just bad.

Man I wish they went kiddy go-onger route around now. Or made red and yellow disappear.

Oh, so just because its the apocalypse kids can't have field trips? I'm just surprised Doc K decided to make an appearance. Probably just to "silence" any brat to say the word "spandex"...

Well Venjix HAS been doing this for years... If he didn't know just about every chink in Corinth's armor by now, someone might wonder how he conquered the world in the first place.

Do you think you can do better? Go ahead, take the Go-Onger footage and make something completely and utterly serious. For what they were given this is a noble effort.

Seriously? You'd prefer Power Rangers: GO ON to this? A Red Ranger with Anime Hair and starts every sentence with the word Mach? A know-it-all Blue ranger who seems to be perfectly contented with playing mommy to the others? A Green Ranger who crossdresses at the drop of a hat and can actually pull it off without a wig or make-up or anything? A Black Ranger with a forehead so reflective it causes everything caught in its light to turn to dust? Plots so bad they make Tom & Jerry sound like Shakespeare? Go-Onger was fine and good for what it was, a cheesy series designed for selling toys and keeping children amused for 22 minutes a week, but if the rumors are true and RPM IS the last season of Power Rangers ever, I just hope it ends on a strong note. With RPM thats possible, but with PR: GO ON, it would be a sad, sad, sad end for a show I grew up with.

It may not be my favorite series thus far, but its got everything a STRONG LAST SEASON needs. Whether it works or not, we have to wait and see... I'm still just glad Bruce Kalish is nowhere to be found.

Actually I'm one of the few people who seems to like all of the retarded stuff in go-onger it seems.

That there lies the problem. They're trying to make something so ridiculous it hurts (in either a good or bad way depending on your tastes) INTO something serious.

This season should've been campy. VERY CAMPY. Not go-onger by any means, but from what they were working with THIS SHOULD NOT BE GRIMDARK. IT JUST SHOULDN'T. It shouldn't be completely retarded either, but whatever. Really if anything the zoids on how they look and how they ended up in the show is first "Yeah this doesn't fit". Its sorta like "angry Kirby" syndrome. We can't have cute things for some reason. ( well PR isn't cute blah blah, but really I want silly stuff like PUMPKIN RAPPER in this. I really do)

Really.... I wouldn't have them going to one of the more dangerous areas in the city. Thats all I'm saying. Especially during a monster attack they should be in some type of security bunker or something. Children are the hope of the future after all.


Really This just isn't my cup of tea, but with Dragon knight showing re-runs, I'll be watching it now. It will most likely be one of the newer Pr I watch all the way through.

Also heres hoping Bandai wasn't lying when they said that this ISN'T the last season of power rangers. Really Shinkenger would've fit grimdark more than go-onger.

But I digress ( I wonder if I used that right) I still don't like Red or yellow. I wish black, green, and blue could be their own team.
