The walk to The Garnished Owl was quiet enough, as Taylor was slightly lost on what to say. The girl was probably stressed out about something, and a drink would definitely make her feel at least slightly better.
"Here we are." she said, stopping and opening the door to the pub and stepping in. As Sydney got to the door and went inside she let out a small muffled thanks.
She sat down near the nearest table by the door. She wanted a quick way of escaping if she needed to run. "Let's try to keep our conversations at a whisper if you don't mind," she began at a whisper. "These people know me and my parents and it would be very awkward if they overheard our conversation." she said with a slight smile. |

"O...kay...." Taylor replied, eyeing her in an odd way as she sat down, sitting her bag on the floor beside her.
"So... What's your occupation? Oh, god. She knows my last name. Shit, I need to be more quiet around these parts, she thought.
"Uh...I'm an auror. You?" she said in her usualy low voice. As she ordered herself a drink she asks, "Do you want something Taylor? I'll pay if you do." |

Taylor shrugged.
"No, that's fine, I'll pay." she said, ordering a firewhiskey. Dropping a few coins on the table from her cloak pocket, she looked back up at Sydney. "Cool," she said as she say Taylor look at her.
"Are you sure? Because I'll pay if you need me too," she whispered as she grabbed her drink from the waitress. |

Taylor held up a hand.
"No, it's fine, I'm capable of buying my own drinks." she said, smiling. "Okay, If you say so," she said as she looked around the room full of people she knew. "Please don't tell anyone that we met. I mean... don't tell anyone that goes here often enough to know these people like I do." she said as softly as she could.

She looked at Taylor with a puzzled look. She thought Taylor looked like she was thinking something... Maybe Taylor thought she was just like her parents.
Shit, she doesn't know, but she's assuming...she thought. "It's a long story and I don't think you're thinking what I think you're thinking, hopefully," she said as she heard a big POW. She turns around in her seat to see two guys who always kept her safe when she was at work with her parents fighting each other. Oh, God. What are they fighting over now?, she thought. |

"Wha...?" Taylor looked over where Sydney was staring. Seeing two wizards in a duel, she stood and took out her wand. The duel was attracting a lot of attention, indeed.
"Now see here!" she called, "You'll have to take this somewhere else! This is a public place and..." she stopped yelling to duck a curse that was sent towards her. Looking for the source, she saw it was one of the teenagers sitting alone at a table. "Please, let me handle this." she said motioning Taylor to sit down.
"I don't mean to offend you or anything, but I know these idiots. Yet another long story." she said as she got up. "Hey!! Maniacs!!" she called to the two idiots. "Ya'll almost hit her ya'know! She said as she walked over to the dueling wizards. "You two could've really hurt someone. Now what is this fuss all about. Wait I don't want to know." she said harshly. "Now clear this mess up and apologize to everyone for the disturbance." she said. The two friends apologized, laughed, and went to apologize to Taylor. |
