Name: Khedel El-Noor

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Class: Rouge/Rebel/Jack of all trades

Alignment: True Neutral

Not Perfect: FRF

Birthplace: Lezan City, Gavan.

Physical Appearance: Standing a few inches taller than six feet, Khedel is lightly built and cuts a lean figure. Many consider him to be handsome in a rough, somewhat roguish way and Khedel has been known to attract a fair bit of female attention. His skin tone ranges from a prominent brown when exposed to the sun at lengthy intervals, to just about pale when it gets cold. Dark brown eyes captivate from beneath pronounced brows, and seem to possess an alarming magnetism to them. Employing the use of a mischievous smile to devastating effect, Khedel possesses a blunt honesty which people seem to find refreshing. A wide forehead and a perfectly square jaw complete the look, along with a straight nose and high cheekbones. Framed around his face is a mop of golden hair which is almost always untidily kept.

Being a part-time everything, Khedel usually dresses in whatever fashion suits him, and will often string a heavy belt around his waist. This he usually fills with essential trinkets, and he can frequently be seen toying with it in his nimble hands. He can frequently be seen out and about town wearing clothes of sub-standard quality, and will not hesitate to ‘swipe’ something he fancies from clothing stores or richly dressed merchants. Above all else, Khedel prizes a red leather jacket he has come into the possession of. Worn extremely faded, it lacks arms and has been torn in many places. Still, it is his pride and joy and Khedel wears it with an effortless class.

He walks with a whimsical bearing, and although he is capable of moving in a more controlled manner, his natural pace is graceful and light. But even with this fluid walk, the Rouge still manages to seem in control of every movement he makes. This way of walking is perhaps the primary reason for his raw magnetism. Everything about the way he walks drips with careless abandon and an easy-going laid back personality. Over the years, Khedel has perfected the art of fitting into a certain ‘look’. He can appear honest when he wishes, yet can also instantly turn on the mischief if he chooses to do so. I born charmer, he has a fluid, powerful voice which can seem both genuine and alluring.

Personality: Khedel’s personality can be summed up into one word: charmer. Insanely charismatic and with his slight quirks, people tend to find him irresistible in strange, roguish way. He has a vibrant personality and loves to make conversation, while also being a great fan of solitary excursions into unknown parts of the city. Khedel is also prone to excessive swearing and over the top dramatics, and will not hesitate to let his opinion be known. He is an apt leader, but tends to miss out on large details during planning. However, with this fact in mind, Khedel is very good at micro-management and has a strange way of keeping track of the smaller, more essential details in any plot or plot.

Khedel isn’t a big fan of philosophy and religion and will usually go out of his way to avoid confronting the ’bigger picture’. With his history, the young Rouge has constantly seen again and again the futileness of trying to understand the world. Priests, philosophers and scholars are three of his least favourite professions and he has been known to mock them on occasion. In his mind, a man struggling to survive should be allowed to employ whatever tactic he deems necessary to persevere. Khedel has no reservations in killing those who attempt to hinder him in a fatal manner, and isn’t very concerned with how the law functions. All he knows is that the last man standing in a fight is also the last man breathing.

This however does not mean he is in anyway ‘evil’. He has his own moral code which he upholds and seems to possess and innate sense of justice which kicks in from time to time. He hates poverty and will try his best to escape it, but with the current conditions Gavan is experiencing, he realises only a revolution can change things. He is very accepting of different peoples and will not judge a man until he gets to know him or her personally. This doesn’t mean he isn’t prone to certain jokes based on stereotype, but these too will always be in good humour and will never truly reflect his real feelings on such sensitive issues.

As far as hobbies go, they change on a daily basis. He loves conning people and will often switch professions just to make a quick buck. He has a good singing voice and is an apt Flute player. He knows how to fix a lot of common household problems and is a fair labourer when times fall rough. Otherwise, he enjoying drinking, nights on the town, playing ‘happy time’ with the ladies, and ‘borrowing’ things from others.

History: His mother was, according to what Khedel has been told, a mistress of some noble or other, and after having been exhausted from constant use, was thrown out of whatever manor/palace/castle she had been working at. She herself was from an illicit noble birth and only found it just that her career path would follow that of her own mother. Finding herself on the streets, she wandered from brothel to brothel for a few weeks until she realised that she had a baby growing inside of her. It was, according to what she had been told, the perfect time to bribe the Lord who had done this into accepting his unborn child and supporting her.

The plan, as it was, backfired. The Lord himself was of a darker skin tone and knew no ancestors who had possessed either light hair or fair skin. Khedel’s mother also possessed raven hair, and when it was time to give birth, the baby boy was born healthy - but pale, and possessing a crop of a golden blond hair. Immediately the Lord grew suspicious and had both mother and child expelled from his residence. Turns out, Khedel was not of noble blood, but of some other blond-haired client his mother had participated in ‘happy time’ with. She probably could have told him the man’s identity, but his mother herself had been killed one night when Khedel was but a year old.

The child grew up on the streets and within orphanages. He was never really accepted anywhere and his mischief always got him into more trouble than he could fathom. Eventually, the child found employment at a blacksmith’s and for most of his childhood, Khedel learned to hammer hot steel into swords prized by both commoners and nobles. It was also during this time that Khedel ‘chose’ a name for himself. As a child, he had gone by whatever the matron or the ring leader had called him, but then, as he began to grow older, Khedel felt the need to assume a new identity. Thus, Khedel El-Noor was born. It was a name he had gotten off a merchant from the south and has used it ever since.

Growing older, Khedel felt a certain need to cut loose from his job at the smithy. Already a bright, intensely lovable boy, the young man realised he was quite good at fooling people into giving him money. This talent, along with the many skills he had picked up here and there, gave him a leg up over others, and soon he was enjoying the thrill of working many jobs, conning many people and causing general havoc. He thrived off people and made friends quickly. It was thus that he became a ‘Jack of all trades’. Life wasn’t perfect, and he was frequently poor and in jail, but to Khedel, it was only the last few steps before eventual glory.

Weapons and Equipment: A small dagger he keeps concealed under his jacket, a few silly ‘effects’ potions and many other trinkets which often come in handy. These include pieces of rope, his flute, a few little books and a small purse in which to keep whatever he earns/borrows/outright steals.

Sample Roleplay: I have two characters accepted here.
