Welcome to the New Year!

Baranthia has entered its new year and everyone is elated. At the moment, there is peace between the lands, but it won't be long before the festivities die down and the old hatreds arise again. Fortunately, it is not in the stars that this month will be filled with tragedy, so it will be something to worry about later.

Across the world, celebrations will occur for the month. In Baranthia, celebrating the coming of the new year is always a month long event! So, get festive, go to the nearest tavern, and take down a tankard of ale! Let loose and have fun!

Fordin

Brrrr...this month is going to be a cold one. The further north in Fordin traveled, the colder it gets. Snow will be piling in by the inch, and cold winds will be evident for most of the month. Roads will be hard to travel on with all the snow - walking will also be difficult. Malorn City is holding it's annual New Year Ball on the 24th of Ruan. Anyone who is anyone will be at the castle for this most memorable event.

Gavan

The weather isn't exactly chilly in Gavan. There will be no snow there this month, but rather, torrential downpours, especially towards the Jungle area. The best thing to do is to keep indoors, because there are a few chances for flooding later in the month. Hopefully, it will all clear up by month's end.

Adenestra

Some flurries may graze this area, but all in all the weather should be nice. If you're lucky, and get past the mountainous ranges, you might be able to have a nice month here in Adenestra.

Viruse Mountains

Well, what can we say? It's always snowing up there. Just be careful passing through. Supposedly, there are a few bandits about. In the City of Runath, they are holding a month long feast. If you're hungry, this is the place to go.
