I registered a little while ago, but then when I clicked resend validation email it said there are no pending requests. Did I do something wrong?

No no, There's no actual Validation email.
You'll just have to wait for a staff to approve and Upgrade your member standing, and your ready.
Most likely It'll be Hedge, since he seems to do that.. So, soon as someone can.. Yar.

How long does it take to get someone to update my member status, I registered last week, I think thursday. Will I get an e-mail to tell that it has been updated?

I think you should try the registration system again, it does not seem like you have completed it sucessfully.
