I was out in front of that building this summer and the tag is no longer there. I only missed it by a few years, because I was told that it was there to about 2000.

I wish you had a chance to see the "WARRIORS" TAG pacman, the recent cultural upheaval going on in Coney Island and Brighton Beach brought with it many (Mostly Eastern European ie; Croatia, Russia, Lithuania etc) and they don't have any ties to the cult classic.
I worked in Coney Island (summer job back in 1981 and 1982 at ASTROLAND) and everyday I'd glance at that tag for inspiration. As a former TAGGER the style was straigh basic but the fact that NYC let them tag up and left it up for all those years says a lot. (Posted Image) |
