Rejoice, for I have found the pizza they serve in schools. It comes in a box of 90, and it costs 40 dollars.

Hahaha oh wow, that crust is pretty darn nasty.

My school used to serve those. They were pretty good. Until budget cuts, that is. Now they serve microwaveable cheese pizza. Glad I graduated already xD

I used to make my own every day. Except we did have a "caf" where you could buy stuff, but it was all coke, and meat pies, and chocolate milk. yik.

Meat pies? I can't really see that as much of a dietary staple.

I loved those crazy rectangular soggy-as-hell pepperoni pizzas, my highschool started switching off between the sausage ones of these and Domino's pepperoni, which was kind of nice. Oh man, so many memories of that cafeteria just popped to mind.

Spraying Dr. Pepper out of my nose, Richard eating his apples with nacho cheese, that gummi bear that was stuck to the window half a year...

cafs in nz arent meant to be an everyday place to get meals. most ppl bring homemade lunches. and the schools expect that. the caf is a fundraising revenue for the school, they are usually fulled with things students would buy with their pocket money. so sweets, sodas, chips, pies.. that sort of stuff.

I honestly don't remember buying anything from my high school tuck shop other than Moosies, since I bring my own godly sandwiches anyway.

Hell, I had a friend who started bringing in homebrew beer lol. Yep, lunch time was never dull.

I giggled much harder than I expected at that.

Also, I have never had a meat pie aside from, like, chicken pot pie. Marie Callender, microwave, kinda terrible.

I never thought those pizzas were that good. The ones I got were sorta like... just kinda springy bread, and then the topping was sorta bland.

Oh fuck, how could I possibly forget Juicies. Those things were the best during hot summer days.

I would just hold one in my hands until it's partially defrosted so it's got the consistency of a slushie, shit, I want a Juicie now.

Wow... that pizza looks better than what they served at my school. They essentially took a piece of cardboard, squirted some ketchup, sprinkled some expired cheese, and scraped some meat from yesterday's lunch on top. It is impossible to conceive of worse tasting pizza on the planet.

Welcome to a time before school food standards (they only had to follow the minimum FDA standards of food that won't kill you) and the worst state for school budgets in the nation. =D

Needless to say, I brought my lunches. XD

They used to serve spaghetti w/ meatballs, pizza, fruits and all sorts of other awesome shit at my high school. I hear now they serve microwaved pizza and cheese sandwich (2 pieces of whitebread with melted cheese in the middle).

My Jr High in texas was awesome (especially our slurpie machine!), but yeah, that does remind me of my elementary school... ugh... @_@

We had slurpie machines at my middle school and the high school I just finished up with. Also at the high school I just finished was a section in the cafeteria with just snacks and then the main cafeteria (where they heated up shipped food).

We definitely never have had those pizzas at any of my schools. The pizza we have is nasty flat wedges with lumpy cheese and almost no sauce, cheese on 'french bread', circle pizza in boxes from some supplier, and then wedge pizza from another supplier. (only the last pizza I mentioned is decent).

Mostly people just get the pizza from the suppliers, and the various chicken sandwiches & nuggets from another supplier.
The only food actually from the cafeteria people eat regularly is the fake 'asian' chicken, french fries, curly fries, gravy-less potatoes, and funnel cakes. People eat all the Thanksgiving meal lunch though (after scraping off the gravy).

I remember the mac n' cheese at elementary school was pretty good though, now it's all nasty lumpy crap.

School jello is some ungodly thing that people use food bits and other things to make disgusting concoctions that are then used to gross others out, especially the jello that comes with fruit* bits in it.

*Assuming it's fruit, no one can ever distinguish which it's supposed to be.

My school Recycles their food. If it wasn't all eaten one day, it was re-heated and served the next day as a side. -_-

My Uni canteen served a pretty good vegetable pasty, then came the budget cuts and when we bit into the new, identical pasties it turned out to be hollow.
Delicious pastry stuffed with air :P
