Just gonna throw this up here, since Evi and LC did their own topics. Might as well do the same :P

Stuff in italics are rough ideas that I'm putting here to see what you guys think.

Characters:
QUOTE

Jie:
A fisherman from a river town on the eastern continent. He houses a dormant power within him, which causes two different forces to go an search for him, though he is not aware of it. He starts the story as a carefree character, reluctant to cooperate with the IAF after they capture him. As the story goes on, he goes through a sort of "growing up" process, finding meaning to life.

Solina:
A soldier of the Elite Unit Nil of the IAF. She begins depressed and regretful of her past, believing she failed to protect those she loved. She is more down-to-earth than Jie is, and is more solemn and soft-spoken. Her scenario is more of a story of sorrow and loss, but regains hope in the end. Her role in the plot is showing Jie the negative aspects of humanity, as well as showing the rest of the world her newfound hope.

Huo:
He starts his scenario as an adamant believer of a prophecy seen by his master, although he himself finds himself denying said prophecy. His character will grow from believing something handed down to him to following his own path. His role in the plot will be to show Jei to follow what he believes in, even though Jie indirectly taught him that. Still working on him.

Selina: Trying to work her character based on Solina's story. She is going to be a major part of Solina's sorrows, nonetheless.

Dion (Main Antagonist):
A high-ranking military official of the organization that opposes Solina's. He seeks Jie to use his anima to reduce everything to a perfect state of Zero, since he sees humanity in a negative view. His personality is somewhat cunning and tells Jie things to lead him to doubt. After a certain point in the plot, he begins to go insane. Still working his character out.

Sui:
Huo's master. She is a prophet that deserted her fellow monks before the story begins, causing Huo much grief. She strongly believes in the visions she sees, in this case the end of the world, which is the very reason why she left. She wants to be a catalyst to happen, seeing it as inevitble. Still working her character out.

QUOTE
During another uneventful day in the River Town, Jie goes fishing, as always. On that day, though, the International Aid Forces (known as the IAF) comes to town and seeks a certain someone out. Jie happens to be that person.  When they find him, they immediately detain him, but the IAF's enemy (working on a name) also have come to sieze him. A small fight breaks out and Jie blacks out. The entire town and everyone that was within the area was destroyed, except for Jie (who unkowingly destroyed the town). IAF reinforcements come after receiving a distress signal shortly before the destruction. Jie's unconscious body is found and taken to a small base stationed nearby.  Jie wakes up in a cell, only to be escorted out to an office shortly after. A high-ranking official explains the situation to Jie and assigns Solina as his body guard for the time being.  A few days goes by and the base is attacked by the enemy. Solina goes to rescue Jie, and they both escape together and end up in a riverside jungle. Solina recalls a war refugee camp (there is a war going on during the story, between Solina's organization and said enemy's organization for reasons I am still working on) and decides to take Jie there and plan their next course of action. They eventually reach the camp and Solina asks one of her allies stationed there for some insight.  It is here they learn of the Mountain People, the monks, who are known for their great spiritual abilities. Jie tells Solina that it would be best to consult them. They are driven to the foot of the mountain by the IAF members at the camp. Jie and Solina embark alone, however, since there is a massive and aggressive search for Jie.

They reach the mountain top and asks the oldest and wisest monk there about Jie's Anima. The monk is unable to directly answer their question, but recalls a story of a fallen god who seeks to destroy an unworthy existence. He tells the two that Jie's Anima has a terrifying potential, similar to that of said god. He then directs Jie and Solina to Huo, our prophet-in-training. He tells them to ask Huo to accompany them as a spiritual guide, and that he personally wants a favor from him. So they head deeper into the mountains to meet him.

At first, Huo is reluctant to join them, saying that he knows why they are there and won't accompany them, believing that tragedy should not happen. When Solina tells Huo that the elder monk wants to see him personally,Huo gives in and tells them he will accompany them down the mountain only (since he can see only certain events).

When they get back, they find the temples ablaze. Here, they meet Sui, who apparently set the place on fire. Sui then departs, but not before taunting Jie and Huo. Huo recklessly runs off and chases Sui, while Jie and Solina help rescue the monks.

After the whole ordeal is over, Huo returns bitter. Sui eluded him.  Only a fraction of the monks survived, including the elder monk, who dies shortly after telling Huo his dying wish: To join Jie and Solina and to find Sui and tell her he forgives her. Huo joins the party.

===BLANK POINT===

Jie confronts Dion and they fight. Dio overpowers Jie and rips his Anima straight out of him, killing Jie. Starting to slowly go insane, Dion absorbs Jie's anima. This part of the plot causes Solina to break.

===BLANK POINT===

Solina and Huo go their seperate ways, Solina going to fight in the war and Huo going to look for Sui. Selina makes an appearance and guides Solina to a wreckage of some sorts. Here they fight, Solina gaining a strong hope and coming to an answer after recalling the things Jie, Solina and Huo went through. Solina defeats Selina, who forgives her sister for something that I'm still working out and tells Solina that her newfound hope gave her a hope of her own. Without warning, she gives her Anima away, to go to Jie's body. This causes Solina to lose her hope, but finds it again (needs working out)

While all that is happening, Huo catches up to Sui. They also fight. Huo too, showing his answer to Sui. Same thing, sort of. Still working this out, but Sui gives her soul to Jie's body as well.

Jie is resurrected, with a more enlightened personality after coming to a decision in a Grave Dimension and when Selina's and Sui's Anima come to him and share with him what brought them there.

===Blank Point===

(These final events happen simultaneously.)

Huo's Scenario: BLANK

Solina's Scenario: The enemy forces, under Dion's influence, swiftly moves out to eradicate (or liberate, as Dion might put it at this point) the entire population, starting with the strongest and most populated city, the IAF's home and is broadcast across the world, with claims of "This is how your world will end". Since most of the IAF soldiers had already perished in the final stages of the war, the people inside the city loses their willingness to live and accepts their fate, waiting for their inevitable demise. Solina suddenly stands between the city and the enemy alone, with the intent to fight off the enemy. Before this, Solina did her best to raise the people's spirits with her own story and that of Jie's, but to no avail. As she fights, the people question her actions and are reluctant to help. But her words gets to them and a resistance slowly pours out, with hope.

Jie's Scenario: Jie confronts Dion and defeats him. Dion's body fades away, to reveal Deus, the destructive Anima that was originally in Jie. They fight, and Jie is defeated and incapacitated. While Deus begins destroying the very dimensions, Solina's Anima appears to Jie and tells him all of her sentiments. It fuses with him. Then appears Huo's, and the same thing. Then Selina. Then Sui. Then suddenly, the Anima of the people start flooding into him, with hope. Jie gets back up, with a state of omnipotence much to Deus's surprise and they have a final battle.

===Blank Point (ending)===

The end.

Phew! Now all of that was the plot for a game project of mine, currently called Project Proletariat (temporary name). Now here's what I need help with:
-Character Development
-All those blank points
-Dividing the plot into 3 different view points
-How the entire world gets Hope near the ending.

Now the game is divided into 3 different scenarios, Jie's, Solina's and Huo's. The plot above is the general view of the story. Jie's scenario is more of a story of self-discovery. Solina's is more like finding hope in a sea of sorrow and loss, and Huo's is somewhat more like choosing a path.

GAME CONCEPTS
QUOTE
Gameplay wise, it's a 2D Hack N' Slash, similar in style to Noitu Love. The gameplay is designed around a sort of Combo system. You have 5 different weapons for each character under a specific classification:

-Power: Slow, but powerful. Makes for good knock back and finisher.
-Speed: Fast, but somewhat weak. Good for getting your combo up, but provides no knockback.
-Magic: Weapons with extended range that carry elemental properties.
-Basic: Your basic weapon, not too fast, not too slow, not too strong, not too weak.
-Special: Limit Break weapon that goes asldkfjdfgterur6as;fghjklrh

Now, each weapon has a combo of its own, but you can cancel the combo and switch in a different weapon and begin that combo. You can also use the movement keys to alter the attack (i.e. Holding down and pressing attack while in midair causes Jie to dive with his Lance). There is a damage multiplier that increases as you make combos, but if you don't attack for a certain time, the multiplier either goes down or gone entirely. Also, as you combo, a gauge fills up and allows use of the Special weapon for a limited time.

Anyway, yeah. Comments appreciated ^^

XP its cos we didnt want to steal the thunder from your thread.

games are soooo not my expertise. but i like the improvements youve made on the synopsis since i last read it.

for the first black spot I would suggest a small bonding plot for the party. Something that allows you to really get the characters close. maybe put a bit of humour in. This will make the next plot stage more dramatic.

for the second blank.. I think you could almost have them departing from eachother just after Jie's death. Stage a big heartfelt fight. maybe they blame eachother. maybe they have different ideas what to do.

unless you want Solina to heal a bit before they part. then it may be a slightly different senario.

as for the next blank point.I think this will fill itself. think about how you will join the final senarios to the previous ones.

the final one.
What note do you want to end on? do you want the audience, to have learnt something, be happy/sad, do you want them to go away with something to think about?

it sounds like each senario has a different point.. so maybe end each seperately with an ending which fits that character's own personal journey.

New thought [first blank point]:

Sometime after they depart the mountain, the trio go on a search to look for a series of Libraries. These libraries are like ruins in very odd locations (One floats in the sky, the other is in a giant hole in the middle of the ocean, etc.).

One problem. I don't know what exactly the libraries are supposed to be. I mean, the trio goes there to gain some form of knowledge, but I don't feel comfortable making it a literal library of books.
