@ Necro: Yeah, it gets pretty spergy when you start wandering into the deep end of the competitive spectrum. I'll be playing a few games at the local stores sure, but definitely won't geek out like the locals there lol.

@ nerkel: Nah unfortunately I don't. I might pick up the online version, but most probably not. I'm all about buying and owning the cards. Plus that giddy feeling you get when you get a Mythic Rare (which happened today; Huntmaster of the Fells) out of boosters, gah, priceless. It's like Pokemon all over again. :)

Hey! Been a while since I updated about my ongoing pathfinder game, playing through the king maker adventure path.

We finished the first module tonight, just a few hundreds Xp short from level 4.
We were granted land to rule as our own and I was selected as the ruler for our new kingdom.

I am apparently joining an Eclipse Phase gaem on /tg/station. I'm a gorilla bartender that is also a front for the Uplift Liberation Front or something ('uplifts' being animals that have been SCIENCED to human-levels of intelligence. Mostly includes monkies, birds, octopi and dolphins, I think), and I have some kinda crazy pissed off augmented-and-genespliced chameleon-gecko-hyena.

One of the other people is a robo-squid terrorist also fighting for Uplift Rights, that is quite durable and quadruple-wields SMGs I think, and... I think one character is an entirely digital doctor.

her familiar is a centipede which i neglected to draw. The Centipede's name is Ardvark and according to Opal, the best damn jokester and prankster ever~

might be worth mentioning there is a book entirely dedicated to the various human races in Golarion (default pathfinder world)

Opal fits the Mwangi people. specificaly the Bonuwats. the book even mention how they favor colorful loose pantaloons and vests. they also tend to be fishermen & sailors and love water in general :P

Opal is damn good swab. She made that main deck shine like a bald baby's forehead if it was held upside down while drooling like a retard.

the way i was imagining it was so funny. Just laying down on the deck, arms outstretched to desperatly hang on to the rope.

...On a related note, is there like a wondrous item or some shit for long distance communication or something in Pathfinder? I can't seem to find one in the pfsrd's listy thing, but nothing. Yet, magic talky mirrors or something are pretty classic fantasy shit, right.

I'm sorta in a gaem where it might be useful, and it's sorta relevant this Saturday.

havent browsed the magic item list of all the books, but id guess there is some sort of two-way scrying devices that would allow communication. if not, its up to the dm and all.

Bam. Maybe a bit too sane, but this was fun. Done mostly during our Pathfinder game today when other players were doing their things.

Today was a fun game. Opal's officially lost her friendly disposition and ended the day by vomiting on some bitch who tried to beat her up earlier.

Game's been going on without me though. Had to take a shower and get ready to go to bed due to early work day tomorrow

Skull & shackles game is moving on very nicely! the team survived their first week aboard the Wormwood, but a nasty storm is approaching!

As Z mentioned, Opal is not good at all at making friends, but damn good at making me laugh.

Opal, while looking for a PC who temporarily disconnected, found her way to the ship's kitchens and was somehow convinced that a simple goat was the missing PC, cursed by an evil rival witch. needless to say, much hilarity followed.

The cliques are forming aboard the ship, as almost half the crew is friendly to the pc, and the other half are siding with the sadistic first mate of the ship, who seems to be taking pleasure at making the PC's life hell. (not working too much recently, so he'll have to up his game.

also, one of the PC is getting very close to one of the crew member, a young woman by the name of Barefoot Samms Topin. A former fisher woman also press ganged into the crew some time prior to the pcs.

PCs are almost half way to level 2.

I find it really funny that the only reason Opal's even on a side is due to her association with the other PC's. Except for the big dumb guy, she's made zero friends with anyone else.

Even the PC's shes not entirely on friendly terms with, though not unfriendly ones either. She might not show it much, but she actually does like all the other PCs so far. Carcosa's pretty iffy with her - shes actually's fluctuating between being enamored with him and hating him. The dogsummonerboy she doesnt see eye to eye with, but she's got the feeling he's a goody goody enough that she could count on him to protect her if she got in trouble. Logan she mostly sees as a pretty gentlemanly guy. Dependable.


But I really enjoy playing her, even if it doesnt seem like im doing much socializing. Having Dalis play my Familiar is awesome lol.

And that hug. Was sitting in deepish water in the bottom of the ship. Rat pops out and attack Opal. Carcosa jumps in and super-kicks it unconscious. Surprised and overjoyed, Opal used her next turn (right after) to try to jump up and hug him. Fail HORRIBLY and fall splat into the dirty mucky water.

HUGFAIL

Dammit. Where do I get a group like you people? Mine's has been the derpiest shit. Not even in the relatively entertaining "oh god, what the fuck are you doing" way, we're just stymied in this shithole city where all our leads on ye quest evaporate, and it's somehow fractured because the other fuckers can't get along for whatever damn reason.

Also there was the time random faceless kicked our asses. I'm pretty sure I could only hit them on like an 17+, and I swear to got they had like 105 HP. Meanwhile, their attack bonus was basically my AC. That was delightful.

Dalis sent up a super muscular guy calling himself Owlbear to have us fight.

Our Bardish type guy took him down with two PUNCHES, didnt get hit.


We are the best team.

Many facelesses. There were like six of these assholes there. Plus two wizzads in the back shooting fireballs at us. There was a lot of derp involved, but I don't really feel like recounting the myriad of dumb fucking shit that occurred in the team or on the DM's side. Well... actually, I just want to say the rogue is the WORST damn face, and I'm supremely annoyed that I dumpstatted Charisma.


My dude's a Goliath, which is basically a huge mountain man with giant muscles, from some monastery on a frozen mountain. Basically violent-Nord-Tibet kung fu giant, who punches holes in people with fists that catch on fire.

I'm also the comic relief. HULKING SOCIALLY AWKWARD MAN GO.

Also, important rolls? YEAH, I CAN FUCK THOSE UP. Bullrushing some cultist off a cliff and falling off it with him was a pretty good one. Breaking my fall on a black dragon was also pretty nice, as was falling my fear check, and then the barbarian killing it before I could do anything but charge it and tap it one time. Also that time I turned pink for a while.

Well Opal's officially the wimpiest wimp that ever wimped.

Basic lowdown of her in tonights game:
• Only able to climb up ship's rigging with the help of another PC. when she tried to help in return my roll ended with a 0.

• Spent a storm clasped desperately to said rigging after seeing the two good climbers fall when trying to get down.

• Only able to do her job with the help of another PC

• Unable to do her next job thanks to no PCs being near her to help and rolling like ass

• Passing out the next day so is punished with 6 whippings. passes out after the first two, pathetic enough that the whipping guy decides to just hit me with a rope the next night instead of a whip cuz im so pathetic its not even fun to hit me.

• Ship anchors off a reef. told to go grab crabs with the rest of the PCs. Jump in water. CANNOT SWIM FOR SHIT APPARENTLY. gets rescued by the same PC that kept helping her the previous day.




I did get to lick a magic pony though.

oh man! i was almost hoping Carcosa would fail his swim check when he jumped out into the sea.

fail swim check = drift away from the ship! After a few failed check, its lost at sea to never being seen again.

And Logan nearly killed himself falling from the main mast. the die were kind to him. (15 damage on a 5d6 fall)
