Been reading a lot of the classics lately. Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, some spinoff material.

I posted about this in the anger thread, but I just got done with Superman: Secret Identity and I think it was extremely well done.

Any love here for the American comics?

Haven't flipped through one for a long time I'm afraid. Shit I forgot what was the last comic book series I followed that wasn't a spinoff/oneshot.

Ah well, while I'm here I might as well recommend Superman: Red Son.

Runaways, at least the first 2 volumes. I haven't really checked out the series after Whedon took over. NYX is awesome, purely for Middleton's art. Check out Chosen by Mark Millar, he also wrote the Marvel Civil War arc. I've actually stopped collecting comics so I don't know what's currently good..

I've recently grabbed the first three issues of Deadpool Pulp. Good so far, hope the last one doesn't disappoint.

It's all in nifty little rar files, if you'd like I can just send ya the whole deal through a couple e-mails. If there wasn't so much, I'd just dump 'em all for ya somewhere more convenient than that, but it's definitely no bother to send 'em if you want 'em.


It's sorely behind, though...StH is up to something like 200+ issues, and SU is going into the twenties.

Childhood memories right there.
I grew up reading my mom & aunt's old comics (old Archie comics, Little Lotta, Little Dot, Richie Rich, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Millie & Chili, and Dennis the Menace).
I still have my stash of 60's comics in my closet, and my sister has all of the Millie & Chili, and most of the Archie comics in her closet.
The Richie Rich ones were always my favorite (probably because I had the most of those).

I'm really confused, but grateful that Archie managed to pick up Sonic.
I really think they've done it justice that either DC or Marvel just wouldn't be able to pull off, in my opinion. Of course, I wouldn't expect it from Archie, either...I mean everything else they have is rather 'slice of life' ish, and Sonic's pretty much all about setting and action, which definitely sticks out against everything else they have.

I just can't imagine what other companies would have done with the title.
Now, if Image Comics got it...:D

Super Sonic in StC makes sense insofar as the name "chaos emeralds", and what they are in that promotional comic. However, the more recent games have pretty clearly shown that they are not purely negative entities (Adventure 1 did it obviously with Chaos taking negative energy, Sonic being able to take the positive)

However, yeah, its funky him being crazy evil.
