I notcied there was no active thread like this, so I thought it would be fun to make one. Unless, of course, your life is too busy for games, then that is understandable. But who doesnt like to turn on the ps2 or xbox right when they come home, eh? Anyway, back on topic:
I am currently playing Radiata Stories. I beat it already, but I never took the non-human path. And recruiting certain characters is a pain in the ASS.
and literally at the same time, I am playing DOMO. Just for the heck of it. It's kinda like runescape, except it is asian, 3d and more better. So far anyway...so what about you? What are YOU playing right now, or are currently playing thru.

I played Runescape. I was a one man forging MACHINE.

Well, bronze-forging at least. I think I got up to iron, but iron ore was too hard to get. Goddamn desert spider things.

DOMO's cool too. I was a Martial Artist. It would've been cooler if Martial Artist didn't have to frickin' EQUIP FISTS to USE MAGICAL FIST SKILLS. I ended up beating crap up with a staff.


Also, I haven't "played through" something in forever. Only thing I've played with any frequency lately's been Crawl Trunk and Rumble Fighter, and even those are kinda once-in-a-while-y.

Yeah, it's pretty good so far.

I can't exactly say how it'll compare to SC3 though, since I never played it. I've only played SC1 and SC2 before moving on to this.

Otherwise, yeah. It's totally worth it.



And I don't think I'll ever get bored of Character Creation in SC4, I went pretty nuts on Siegfried and my custom Nightmare character.

Don't really like a lot of the wardrobe. the faceplate mask thing is awesome though.

I have a green guy with the voice as deep as can I can get it and armor everywhere. He has Astaroth's axe, and is fun.


You know what I miss though? Being able to select from weapon lists, as opposed to individual builds using a single weapon/skill loadout. That's really annoying.


And, have no one to play it with. Lame.

Also, Mount & Blade. Some mod, "Lords and Realms" or something, that lets you start a kingdom and puts in new weapons. Everyone's got hardcore armor, too.

I haven't figured out how to do kingdom crap though.

I bought some clothes. Now I'm less cheapo budget serial killer and more FAABULOUSSSS! Pink vests awesome.

I WAS playing Sacred 2 on 360(I fell in love with my dual-wield Dryad >_>) then my 360 got the red light of doom(E74, AKA: Malfunctioning video processor, not the RRoD) so now I have to get it on PS3 and start aaaall over again. Argh.

Also, been raiding a bit with my DK in WoW, as I've had the pleasure to run with some of the top raiding guilds on my server(I ran with one of their members for a non-guild run, then he gave my name to their guild leader so now I'm one of their top guild run tanks for anything other than Ulduar if I'm on >_>) so basically every time I turn WoW on I have to accept the probability of spending 2 hours running OS10/25 or VoA10/25...

As for SC3/4, 4 was a major let down in a lot of ways. It lost most of its story elements(the Ogre Battle style story mode is gone, replaced instead by a lazily done tower of 50 challenges), and the create-a-fighter is a joke now. Sure the polygons on the armors went up, but basic things were messed up or lost. Before under-shirts and under pants were 2 separate options, in 4 though, you can't mix and match. If you want chain mail, it's full body. If you want a particular under-shirt or a chest tattoo, prepare to see your dude running around in man-thong when your lower body armor breaks. Also, all of the previous non-in game fighter fighting styles(ie: lance, scythe, bomb and dagger) are gone, so now all you're doing is essentially re-skinning the in game fighters with it and nothing more. I gave my CaF one of the sword and shield styles(because that's what he was before) and you can only watch a krunk dude dance around adjusting his nonexistent skirt so many times before you just snap and give him Nightmares move set.

Don't even get me started on the armor bonuses. When the most powerful outfit in the game is a bishonen school boy/girl outfit in a medieval fighting game about demons, ghosts and barbarians I draw the line and call bull shit. Why does a maid outfit give more defensive and offensive physical attributes than a spiked plate-mail suit? How are toy cat-ears more effective headgear than a helm of mithril and arcane power? Fact is they made it so the most powerful created characters are always going to be shitty shojo anime rip off characters unless you play in the mode that disregards the bonuses.

SC4 was the first ever game I've returned out of sheer disappointment. Even Too Human is still in my collection because in short bursts its still fun. SC3 outclasses SC4 in every way aside from graphics. If you thought the CaF in 3 was a pointless distraction and only ever used in game characters, maybe 4 won't be that bad for you, but for people like me, where me and my friends spent hours and hours creating characters then pitting them against each other for hundreds, possibly even thousands of battles, it's a slap in the face.
