yeah :c
i'm at a loss as to how to make this look any better
i've got aload of little details to add on like the bits on the back of his head but i don't know how to attatch them properly so they don't fall off/break off at a later date -cause the commissioner has a little sister who breaks nearly everything she owns-

it's in very early stages now but any help to make things look decent would be appreciated :c
though please keep in mind that the only tools i have is a pencil to add in details, a card to smoothen it out and some thin wire

sorry for the crappy phone photo :/

That looks pretty sweet, the only thing I can really critique on are the front legs. The way it's bent looks odd, the back legs are really cool though, you should make the front ones look more like those.

It does look good. After Fish mentioned it, the front legs do look a little odd. Probably cause of the direction the bottom part curves. The tail also looks a bit on the thick side, especially towards the end. Are you planning on making that part furry?

The technique you are using for the chest fur is working great. As for making things so that "don't fall off"? The only way I can really think of is to actually pull them out of a "main" piece, rather than creating them separately and attaching them. You could also put a piece of wire through both pieces I guess. Probably curl up both ends so they are anchored into the sculpture.

Also, what kind of sculpting material is that?

@FoaS
yeah the front legs are alittle awquard ^^;
i'll probably have to bend the wire quite alot though so i might leave that til the end ^^;
hoping that it wount kill of everything @-@

@Lillejord
lol thanks x3
and i forgot the add the ref D> here's the link to what the character looks like : http://ruby-dreams.deviantart.com/art/Scin...f-Wip-134197057
only he's more dragon/snake like then what he looks like on the ref ^^;
his tail goes into fluff right at the end, but either way i do need to sort out the thickness of the tail xD
there'a a section that randomly goes wider and it's bugging me alittle

and yeah i did think that, but even through trying to use the wire it's not working amazingly :c
i might try it again afew more times to see how it goes, but if it doesn't work i don't know what i'm going to do xD

and i'm using super sculpey c:

Hm, I've never used it. I know when using clay you can create "slip" which is watered down clay that can used as "glue". Fairly affective considering most mug handles are attached this way. Considering Sculpey is essentially plastic you could probably glue them back on if they fall off...

Ok, after further thought and thinking about clay slip I decided to see if there was something similar for Polymer Clays. I found this: Liquid Sculpey. You might give that a try.
