EETTSSYY SOLD MY IMAGE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! AND ONE CAN ONLY SUSPECT THE OTHER IMAGES ARE STOLEN AS WELL. Eettssyy claimed that the artworks in the store are made by her/him. So please take a look to see if your artworks and photos are being sold without your permission!
As you can see she carefully cropped out my signature!! I will have to use offensive watermark from now on!

I know right? the image didn't have any huge watermark because it was a wallpaper. guess can't give out wallpapers now cos art thieves would just steal them!
Since I have not been personally ripped off in this case and don't really have the grounds to file a report of my own, I signed up for an etsy account just to send her a message...

Thanks for the tip-off, Kry. I'm sorry that this jerk took advantage of some or your work before s/he was caught. His shop is closed for the time being, and I hope he won't come back.

Anyway, I'm really disappointed that this woman was not banned from Etsy. The scale of art theft was staggering, and though I'm not one to wish badly of people, I really hope she was harrassed enough to not try ripping artists off ever again. Wishful thinking, maybe, but trying that twice is more stupid than what she had been doing in the first place. Thanks for all the extra links, K. Hopefully she'll be easier to spot if there's a next time.

no, it wasn't in etsy forum. it was a jewelry forum i'm a member of. the forum has no connection whatsoever to etsy although a lot of members have shops in etsy.
Well, there goes my short-lived idealism. These images she's selling seem much more generic, however. I did identify a Gustave Klimt, tho, and I'm willing to bet that she doesn't have rights to that. EDIT:That would be this listing, but she did not claim the artwork as hers.

With all the varying styles with no trace of similitude between them, and the generic familiarity I have with much of the subject matter, I'd say she's still at it.
Until I see another blatant offense, I'll refrain from any further action on my own part for now. But at that point, I'll file a report myself. As well as send her another PM.

nope. her original etsy shop, eettssyy, is only in a vacation mode. so she can come back anytime. the thing is i don't know if was etsy that put the shop in vacation mode or not. but nonetheless, this creep is opening yet another shop selling similar items!
at least she lost $54.2 worth of listings (listing fee is $0.20/item in etsy). but she made almost $3,000 so it wasn't a huge lost..
$1011 x 3 = $3033.
$3033 - 3.5% etsy final fee = $2928.85
$2928.85 - 3% paypal fee (more less) = $2,839!!

Funny thing is that even the scrabble pendant photos are not even her original photos! i've seen other digital collage sheet artists were using the same photos (i'd suspect there was one same template they used. they only shopped the artwork on the pendant for different listings)
