Latest news I heard this week. Japan is possibly going to stop whaling. While this makes me happy to hear that I can't get too excited yet. After all they have not made it clear if this is going to be final (the Japanese government have been vague about this actually). All that is known is that the whaling season for them has ended early apparently due to political pressure from nations such as Australia and New Zealand as well as concern people who care about the whales.

It's also seems that some people think it was the conservation group known as Sea Shepherd (who have been in this show called Whale Wars for seven years now) is responsible for this but I don't think they are the major reason for this, though it can't be ignore they did play a part in this.

So we just have to wait and see how this plays out.
