Title: K's in America~ :D
Zeratanus - September 21, 2010 06:23 AM (GMT)
well, not technically for an hour and a half or so yet, since she's stopping off at the mall or something first, but she's all packed and ready to be on her way for a massive 30something hour trip to the US :D (10 or so hours in Singapore, which is murder on the brain, especially an exhausted one, let me tell ya. but her aunt says there are cheap rooms you can rent in the airport)
First to singapore, then either to LA or Chicago (man my brain is fried! cant remember!) and finally to Saint Louis were we'll pick her up <3
YAAAAAYS
hopefully she'll find some public access computers in singapore and be able to give me/us an update :3

Hmm... we do have internet bars (is that what you call them) but you'll have to pay to use 'em.
In the airport, they have it in the departure hall. Those you don't have to pay. but no webcam.
Gosh K in Singapore. So near yet so far XD

Congrats, you two!
Kittymangagurl - September 23, 2010 08:41 PM (GMT)
Aww, well get some rest, and don't worry K, the jet lag will wear off in a couple of days. Enjoy USA!

He_Diya - September 24, 2010 03:44 AM (GMT)

lol Zera that reminds me of my 5th grade b-day party; we got huge rolls of bubblewrap to play with. My dad was not pleased with the noise.

kry1 - September 24, 2010 07:54 AM (GMT)
THANKS ALL FOR YOUR EXCITEMENT!!!
SORRY FOR NOT CHECKIN IN EARLIER BUT YOU KNOW.. A LOT TO CATCH UP! LOL.
Anyway, loved singapore's airport! great, shiny, and big! super clean even though you don't see any janitors around. it's so huge and almost like a mall inside an airport! i called a friend in singapore for an hour or so FOR FREE. Internet was free too but has time limit of 15 minutes each section and doesn't have tabbed browsing system. it was overall a pleasant experience. i'm most impressed by singapore's airport! it even has foot massagers lining up in front of each gate if not every other gate. fantastic! it didn't feel at all that long the whole 9 hours in it.
Tokyo's airport was not impressive at all. i was expecting something better being in japan. but it had cute souvenir shops on the other side of the gates. i picked up some gifts for steve's sisters and mom. my only regret is that i didn't eat sushi while in tokyo. not enough time to pick up any altho they has some kind of sushi take outs in the airport next to the souvenir shops.
chicago airport is big, long lines of people going through immigration. but it has this "cold" feeling. unlike singapore's that's so colorful, warm. and welcoming, chicago's airport was almost scary. nothing impressive at all. just a big architecture with blue themed interiors and lines of seats. st.louis airport is not any difference either. just a smaller version of the O'Hare airport. i had to pick up my own suitcases in Chicago Airport to be transferred to st. louis. good thing they was already out of the moving wheels. but still, lifting them up by myself to the trolley was not a nice experience. 50+ pounds weight times 2! no one was moved to help this little girl. lol. however, i found a nice airport worker in chicago who lent me his iphone to call steve. the pay phone ate up my quarters! jerk!
steve's mom and little sister cried a little when they saw us hugging in st. louis airport. <3 ain't i feel welcomed already. apparently his little sister, mary, liked me so much she couldn't wait to come home from school to see me today. aww..
good to be HOME!

That's the aura from the U.S. Navy recruits waiting for the bus to take them to spend the worst 2 months of their lives at boot camp.
But for serious, airports in the states are generally mediocre. My favorites are Las Vegas, Nevada and Jacksonville, Florida.
So K is A-MURR-UH-KN now. Stokes.

Zeratanus - September 30, 2010 02:12 AM (GMT)
Spent the whole blasted day lugging K's wedding dress around in a box going different places to get different stuff for the wedding, and also ended up getting her a lot of winter clothes too @_@
both of us are dead tired today >>
anywho, K's family just got approved for their US visitor's Visas today~ So they'll be able to come to our wedding!
