wow tint, thats a lot of hard work, good show! :bang:

Blossom - March 27, 2009 12:52 AM (GMT)
Wow Tin! That's a really great idea! It needs to be pinned!

Maybe we could use the thumbs from MR directly?

Tintreas - March 27, 2009 01:24 AM (GMT)
I assume they'll be eliminated tommorrow :ycry:

Could save and re-upload them all. Lot of effort though?

Blossom - March 27, 2009 01:48 AM (GMT)
I know. :ycry: I still got the thumb from my tutorial. XD

I know that it might be some work but you could post a list on MR of the tutorial you collected/saved and others could help saving the thumbs. I have a little bit of time tomorrow, so I could help. Even if it's just an hour or so.

Neoconvoy - March 28, 2009 11:00 PM (GMT)
Hi!

I saved 152 tutorials as .php files

InColdBloodXx - March 29, 2009 01:45 AM (GMT)
Arrrhhhggggg
I should have saved my favorites
= A =
Stupid stupid stupid
Wait...isn't Penguin archiving them somewhere?

FelixRainbow - April 1, 2009 07:44 PM (GMT)
we could try and find some from the wayback machine site?

http://web.archive.org/web/20080212113123/...revolution.com/

unfortunately it doesnt have anything from 2009 :( or end 2008.

Daedal - April 2, 2009 12:29 AM (GMT)
the wayback machine seems to be missing images used in tutorials.
or at least in the ones i checked.
i also saved some tutorials but i only grabbed about 45 of them and apparently i accidently skipped over some of the ones i'd have liked to had.

i'll stick them in a .rar file and post a link when i get it uploaded somewhere.

oh... i saved all of mine as a .mht (mime encapsulated web archive) which is the same thing as saving them as html with images but it's all packed in a single file. as far as i know the only two browsers that support the file type are Opera and Internet Explorer.
i know IE sucks and has more security holes than swiss cheese but Opera doesn't. it's the most secure browser i've found firefox included. it isn't as customizable as firefox but it has some nice and interesting features.

FelixRainbow - April 2, 2009 01:08 AM (GMT)
Great to hear you saved some too, can't wait till more link are made available to everyone :)

and yeah it does miss images from some of the tutorials and has images for other ones. it because the links are stored on different servers that the wayback machine can't grab from, or the image was deleted when the site went to grab them..

I worked how to grab images myself, i can grab all the tutorials that i can get the images for and upload them. :)

Daedal - April 2, 2009 01:27 AM (GMT)
[MangaRevTutorials.zip on RapidShare]
so here's the link to all the tutorials that i saved. they're all .mht files so, unless something has changed recently, you'll have to use [Opera Web Browser] or Microsoft Internet Explorer to open them.

Tintreas - April 2, 2009 01:31 AM (GMT)
Great stuff guys :D I have about half of the them Pdf'd, I'll try get them finished by the weekend.

MetalDragon - April 2, 2009 03:22 AM (GMT)

FelixRainbow - April 2, 2009 04:14 AM (GMT)

Tintreas - April 2, 2009 04:33 AM (GMT)

cheers tint, much apreciated! :ok:

FelixRainbow - April 2, 2009 09:41 PM (GMT)
I'm putting up a page that has the pages from Daedal. and sure thing tint, i can make Thumbnails, easy peasy with a script in perl or php :)

EDIT:
Finally up! X3

Heres the link for the basic site at the moment
MR Archive Site

Remember to use backspace to get back to the main archive page

I'll fix it up later, Changing the filetype for the MR archived pages and cut them out of the MR site background and old saved page and put them in better format while retain the orginal flow, the Colour of the webpage and background isnt permament i'll make it more professional later too.

I also add a sorting function for recently added and such, and Genre stuff such as Traditional/Digital/ etc kinda stuff to help find things

I'll add a function for Tutorial uploading on the site too aswell as a Search function.

also I'm not too sure on the authencity of the " How to draw photorealistic portraits part 1 & 2" that daedal saved. its just if its useless then deleting it would save some space.

Hope I'm helping in some way :)

MetalDragon - April 3, 2009 01:22 PM (GMT)
whenever i try and go to a tut, i just get to see the code :\

Zeratanus - April 3, 2009 01:35 PM (GMT)
same

MetalDragon - April 3, 2009 02:47 PM (GMT)
i can't see anything wrong with the code, it might just be because there is no domain name? but i am pretty new to coding, so yah

FelixRainbow - April 3, 2009 06:05 PM (GMT)
FIXED.

I've converted the files to PDF because the previous MHTML was crappy with most browsers.

let me know if their any other problems :)

Zeratanus - April 3, 2009 06:31 PM (GMT)
yay! works now!

Tintreas - April 3, 2009 07:49 PM (GMT)
Yay! I can stop converting files XD Thank you felix :3

FelixRainbow - April 3, 2009 08:24 PM (GMT)

Tintreas - April 3, 2009 08:31 PM (GMT)

FelixRainbow - April 3, 2009 09:22 PM (GMT)
I have all the ones Daedal had in the zip file and that all.

i don't think thats all of them, if you have ones that Daedal did't have in the zip file he provided then i'd apprecaite you sending me them, converted or not :)

that goes for anyone, :] anyone who has tutorials saved and their not up on the site, please send them :)

EDIT: FINALLY GOT THE SEARCH FUNCTION UP AND DONE. Next step is adding an upload function so you guys can upload tutorials if you want to :]

kry1 - April 4, 2009 06:30 PM (GMT)
