CRACK
Severus apparated into the Meeting Chambers of The Order of the Phoenix. He had news for them. Narcissa was pregnant with another generation of Malfoy. He hated turning his friend over during a time of his life that should be happy. But he had to do it. His allegiance to the Order and the Greater Good was far stronger than that of Lucius.
The Order had scheduled a meeting for today anyhow. Severus had waited for nearly a week and a half to tell them of his newest bit of information from the Death Eater's. Poor Narcissa. He took a seat around the table they gathered around. He hoped they all arrived soon. He couldn't contain himself much longer.

((I'm not quite sure where this fits in, in Alice's day between emotional breakdowns, cafe hunting, potion making, cleaning, and talking with her husband but y'know whatever))
Alice apparated into the meeting room with a loud crack. She had nearly forgotten then had a meeting today with all that was going on but had seen a clock only minutes before to realize that she was expected here. As much as Alice would have liked to just stay home she knew she had to be here.
She sat down at her normal seat at the table with a nod to aknowledge the presence of others. "'Lo Severus"

Severus looked up from his fingers. He had found a hang-nail was trying to remove it. That is, remove it without magic. But it wasn't coming off. When Alice apparted into the room, he was about to blow off his bloody finger. Shocked he looked up and smiled when he saw it was Alice. "Good day, Alice. Frank is well?"

"Frank is being Frank," Alice replied, summing up everything in those 4 words. By this she simply meant he was being his happy, workaholic, perfectionest (in Alice's words) self. There was no harshness to what she had said, it was different then if she had been refering to somebody else.
"How are you doing?" she asked noticing frustration written all over the mans face.

Severus listened, and quickly shot a glance down to his finger. The blasted hangnail still stood in it's proud glory. He pointed another finger at it and mumbled a few words. A green puff of smoke enveloped the finger. When it cleared the hangnail was gone. Severus looked up with a smile on his face. It was a rare thing for him to do: smile. "I'm doing just lovely, thanks. How are you? And Frank's mother?"

Alice could not hide the grin that formed on her face to see the normally grumpy man truely smile. What a glorious thing a smile was in these times where you could trust barely anyone if you didn't know what side they were on for sure.
"I'm fine, to tell you the truth I haven't seen her for a while. She was good last time I saw her though," Alice said barely managing to hide the happy note in her voice when she proclaimed that she had not seen the woman in a while. Frank's mother was nice enough, but she and Alice didn't always get along.
Alice deeply appreciated Severus having the sense to think ahead and not ask about her mother. It was very hard for Alice to have to explain that her mother was dead when in conversations with people. Though luckily anyone that acutally enquired upon her families health knew this tidbit so she didn't have to explain it much.

(y'know Alice, it could be a new day)
She was speaking to Sirius again. She was speaking to her lovely, adorable troublemaking bad boy of fiancee. She came through her usual method, apparation, but she was in the middle of a letter, so in her hair was a quill (actually two) and she was wearing her work robes. She wasn't at work, just appeared that way. She yawned, reaching up, and then she turned to Alice, and she grinned. Things had worked out for the two of them, and then she went to Severus.
"How are you doing? You look very good." Adrienne had little respect for him, even if she was an around nice girl, she hated her fiancee's enemy. She sat down at a table, pulling one of her quills down from the mess of curls. It was a not so good day for Adrienne, but regardless she was here to listen to the information that has been dispensed. She looked down at the parchement, and began writing. "We are pleased to inform you...." and it went on as she talked and wrote.
It used to drive everyone around her crazy, but she really didn't care.

((new day *scoffs* Silly person))
"You look happy," Alice remarked, riasing an eyebrow slightly. Adrienne looked much more happy then she had yesterday. Good. Maybe things would brighten up for Adrienne. The happy thought was squushed as Alice had to work to stop from rolling her eyes. Adrienne had a bad habbit with letter wiritng. Saying what she was writing outloud.
"Adrienne one of these days someone's going to end up silencing you," Alice pointed out.

"They've already tried. I'm better with counter-jinxes than half of the people on my case, so I had the upper hand." She rested her hand back into place, crossing out the word, "work placement" for "opperunity". She finished the letter, and then setting the other quill out, she dipped it in ink, and she set out the two pieces of parchement out to work, and she let them do their magic. She turned to the group who yet to arrive. "Where is everyone else? Sirius should be coming along, considering I just informed him."

"Ah well, there's always hope you'll just grow out of it," Alice said shaking her head. She grinned at the thought that she had said it so many times before already. Adrienne would never grow out of it. At her friends next words however, the grin vanished and was replaced with worry dancing in her eyes.
"It's not like Frank to be late..." Alice said nervously pulling on a strand of blonde hair as if she was a school girl again, worried about an exam. She bit her lip, thinking of all the things that could have happened. There could have been an attack or he could have been sent off on an auror mission and if that was the case Alice wouldn't know until he got back, or word of his death reached Auror HQ.

Severus turned as Adrienne apparated into the room. He didn't have much use for the girl. She was, after all, engaged to Sirius. As she asked her question he looked at her plain in the eyes, his face void of emotion. "Just lovely." While, yes, he liked the good Order, some of it's members were slightly too happy for his likes.
When she started to read her letter out loud as she wrote it, he rolled his eyes and stuck his hands into his pockets. A moment or two later, he pulled a small book out and tapped it. The thing instantly grew rather large, and opened up to a section on jinxes. He flipped through the pages and pointed to one. "Read one more word, and the thing will read it self off. Understood?" He had the jinx, and was not affraid to use it. As Sirius had once put it, 'Severus knew more jinxes and hexes when he came to school, than most of the Seventh Year put together.' It was true.
Alice started to worry about Frank. Severus did agree that the man was usually punctual, but there must have been reason. Or they would have been told. "He'll be fine, Alice. Don't worry. Where are James, and Remus? Lily aswell?"

It was all Alice could do to hold back a laugh at Severus' threat if Adrienne continued reading aloud. She had made such threats herself, though Adrienne had never taken it seriously until Alice managed to silence her, once. The event had never repeated itself however as Adrienne had grown more alert over the years.
She mouthed a silent 'You rock' to Severus before resuming her stance as the worried wife.
"It's probably nothing, it's just the world's largest coincidence..." Alice snorted here. There were no coincidences in the wizarding world. "But I can't help but worrying..."
