The Ancient Tale

The reign of Mankind is over. All that is left of them is their long-abandoned castles, monuments, roads here and there, and other artificial matter of the like. The equine race is set free to roam the world, intelligent and strong. Alliances are made, breeds become more distinct, and above all, the lust for power consumes the hearts of many.

Much of this has gone unnoticed for years, but soon the distinction of the alliances of light and dark becomes too apparant to ignore. Hatred brews amongst each side as they both claim rights to rule what has become known as the lands of Aljador. Battles begin and end with no result but pain and misery. It is with death that both alliances form an unspoken treaty, one that sets apart the lands of light and dark and puts an end to the battles.

Yet alas, hatred and envy can do so much. All is not well within the lands, not so long as the alliances exist. Choose your side, or remain neutral, for it can make all the difference.

Forum Rules Volcanic Mountain

In the center of this land lies a seemingly dormant volcano, one that has not erupted for 25 years. It still releases its sulferic aroma and much of the terrain is still caked with ash from the previous eruption. A large forest surrounds it in every direction and from beneath the burnt geo sprouts hundreds of saplings. It is rather foggy during the atumn and winter seasons, and rainfall is often.

When this began
I had nothing to say
I'd get lost in the nothingness inside of me.

The nothingness was something overwhelming, something too strong to deny. And who was he to do so? He was riding on life and everything was smooth sailing, even though that in itself wasn't much fun either. He loved the challenge, to dance with fire, to hunt in the unmerciful times of day, it was just him by nature. Created by lust and raised by misfortune, he was the unfortunate and demonic turnabout of times.

Flints dashed on the dried ash terra as he emptied himself back into his homeland, his claiming abode. Forest all about, dying wooden pillages blocking out the sun from view. Dust clouds encircled his flints as he stretched himself across the lands a moment, but slowly brought himself down to a hault. Nares quenched at the dry air, the familiar taste of fire and magma melting in his air ways as he tossed his crown high, glad to be back.

Ah, but he wasn't to be alone anymore. No, he had company now. He still was in debate as to what he would do with her first; the possibilities were endless. Perhaps he would let her get to know the land first, but more likely, he would get inside her mind... just because he could. Speaking of his company, where was dear Raven? Turning himself, he stared to the entrance, cold pools narrowing as he watched for her entrance. Should she choose not to come, oh he'd find her and then ruin her for disobeying him. Somehow he sensed she would not be so foolish as the others he had met, but you could never be too sure when it came to females.

I was confused
And I let it all out to find
that I'm not the only person with these things in mind.

Cinderella's nostrils flared as her lungs heaved to take in air. Her talons continued to dig into the dry grounds as she did her best to keep up with the bastard. As she drew closer to the lands that would now become a part of her the sulfuric scent of a dormant volcano that rested in the center of these lands tickled the inside of her nose. Upon entering the lands she began to slow her gait and her orbs widen in range for the dreaded search of the stud.

When her pure gaze spotted him she slowed down to a steady walk. Her breathing was jagged and her pelt quivered with exhaustion. Once coming upon his presence she stopped completely and waited for his actions.

Inside of me
But all the vacancy the words revealed
Is the only real thing that I've got left to feel.

And the heavens finally parted to cast out the fallen angel to the volcano. Juggular raised a moment as tresses cascaded over his facade as he meant to stare up at her. Orbs stared through the sickle of strands that fell in his gazers as he watched her enter, slowly, reluctantly for sure. And he didn't blame her. Perhaps she was looking for a prince charming with a beautiful home, perhaps she wanted to have friends among other fatales to frolick with. Instead, she was shamed with this.

And all for himself. Blinking hazily a moment, he let his pools wind over her form again and again. He had to give it to her, she was pretty. Her crimson pelt and dark ribbons fluted her apart, but she was still a little pure. A goody-good from heaven sent. A weakling too and enemy of the darkness. But how familiar was she with the darkness? Ah, he would have to probe and discover for himself.

As if suddenly coming to life again, his bod jolted and he moved quickly to where Raven stood. He barely paused before her once to stare her in her pools but then encircled her once, letting his hide press against hers as he moved about her curvature. Coming to her rump, he paused again, nares flared a moment, but then relaxed again. She wasn't in season yet he didn't suspect, but surely soon. Continuing about her, he paused again before her, heartless orbs pouring into her pure ones with his icy glare. The fire was not here yet, but when it came she would know.

Welcome to your new h*llhole, Raven, he snarled. Reaching up with his maw exposed, he took a mouthful of her tresses and jerked his head back roughly. Not to pull out her strands, oh no, just a shock of pain to start with. Dropping her strands again, his cruel pools glared back down upon her as he hissed, How familiar are you with the dark side? Tell me your past.

Cinderella stared straight ahead as he once again circled her, this time his bod touching every inch for her it could reach. It was not the first time in her life a bastard had touched her this way and she knew it probably would not be the last time either.

She held still as he jerked her locks, pain seared at the base of her mane and left her mind tingling with rage. She listened to his bitter and cold words. She inhaled sharply when he asked about her past. She knew the retelling of the tale would hurt but she knew if she wanted to live she would have to tell. So she began...

My sire was dark and my dam a pure. Her story is a lot like mine is turning out to be. She began in her soft spoken vocals. My sire lead a hateful herd of the dark side. They had come to my mother's herd one day; they killed every horse in their wake except for my dam. She was taken back and made into my sire's bitch. I was born shortly after her arrival in my sire's lands. Times were hard growing up but that is what you get for living in dark lands. I had seen mares and foals killed for no reason, I watched as countless herds were destroyed one by one by my sire and his minions. When I turned three my mother was killed because she tried to escape the herd, I was then sent into prostitution for my father and I was to serve his minions every whim. Another dark herd has recently come to my home and engaged my sire and his minions in a war and I was able to sneak away in the dead of night. And I have come here. She ended; still not looking at him, hoping that he was not even listening.

I wanna heal, I wanna feel
what I thought was never real

Numbly he was aware of where he was. If it were not for the smog in the air that rose up and about from the long dormant volcano he may have drifted too far into his thoughts. But the smell of forgotten magma was very real in his windpipes and it kept him awake long enough to remain aware of where he was. He saw Raven before him then, speaking in her whimsical way of the life she knew before.

How quaint. He was hardly listening, audits perking at different words yet pools remaining listless. Ah, so she was familiar with the darkness, with the way of life before. And she was familiar with the life as a prostitute, again, how quaint. Perhaps she knew how to work then, but he couldn't tell just by watching her. She had a calm collected sort of way about herself, despite what she may have been feeling inside. What he wanted more than anything besides the pain and misery was to hear her scream, hear her plead. He had broken many banshees before and peering into her pools now, he saw in a flash that perhaps she wouldn't be so different. But his manner going about with her might.

Snorting once she finished, he paraded around her again, this time watching her limbs. Long and elegant, she was of dancer lines for sure. Dainty and pretty, but certainly not strong. But she could go for miles and that was worth the look for. Coming up behind her, he parted his fangs again, but this time placed them upon her spine and drew them up her back to her serpentine. Nothing of pain, but just the feeling of his bite close to her tender flesh; a reminder of who he was and how he played.

I don't believe I've introduced myself, Raven, he hissed as he strod to her front side again. A slave should never go without knowing their masters name, after all, without it they will have nothing to scream in the night. My cursing is Yann and I'd tell you my past stridings, but they are nothing to you, now are they? They are nothing to me either, just the beginnings of hell and nothing more.

He crossed her once, audits pinned back and pools never leaving her bod. He was contemplating his first move with this one. She was far to quiet. Brave perhaps. But he would have her. By the sound of it her dam was no different. But she would be different than her dam. Her dam was left a pure in chains, he would have her a shattered memory of what she once was. Then maybe in time, release what remained of her to the world again. Turning on point, he drove at her a moment and paused at her side, liprims sneering, but drawing close to her list as they parted to hiss.

What is your name, bitch?

Cinderella concentrated on his words more than his actions. She drew up inside of herself only listening, not feeling. His words were strong and held the edge of a knight's bloody sword. Her ears pricked as he changed direction at her.

He was right she did not care about his past, she did not care about him and she did not care about what he did because she knew there was no way to stop the painted bastard. His name planted into her memory along with all the rest. This was the beginning of a new memory. She was nothing more than a slave in his world as was she in her sire's.

Raven. She answered, she had wanted to test him and speak her own tag but she spoke the one that he wanted her to be called. She knew she did this in part fear and in part to keep him thinking he had all control over her.

I wanna heal, I wanna feel
like I’m close to something real

Raven. Well, she was catching on, but he wanted to be sure of it. Straightening himself up some, fangs baring open again, he reached out and took hold of her tresses again. This time he pulled back harder and held it there for a moment, gazers beginning to brim with the fury he felt from his cold heart. Blood within him was racing a moment, excitement, perhaps, perhaps because he was going to push her now and push her and push her. He would become her living nightmare and awaken a side of her she may never have known before.

Finally releasing his grip on her, he half reared and sent his pillages into her side. No flint to cut her flesh, just his weight coming down upon her. Pillages landed again and he drove himself up beside her again. He would hear her louder, he would have his way. If she thought differently there would be hell to pay for it. Reaching up he grasped her tresses again and pulled one more time, this time through the clamp he had on her tresses, he spoke roughly.

Louder. Pulling downward lightly, threatening another painful yank he held himself still a moment to wait for her answer. This was folly, and a light sort of fun. The real work and real tears were yet to begin and he could hardly contain himself to wait for it. How long would she hold out? They would both discover soon enough.

The pain from his pull on her locks seared her nape and then he caught her off guard when he reared and hit her. She stumbled to the side a bit but did not loose her balance. She glanced at him just before he took a hold of her locks and yanked once more. She grimaced slightly.

Raven. She said louder this time, she wanted to cry but she did not she held herself together and let him bully her.

And I’ve got nothing to say
I can’t believe I didn’t fall right down on my face

Fire licked at him from within as he felt her reaction. Felt her through her body language, her pools, if there was one ridiculous falacy that he adopted from his dam it was her feeble way of reading others like a book. The ability to sense emotion just by being in the presence of others. It was a stupid gift and a pure gift at that. Snorting again, he released her tresses, but smirked darkly. For he was not finished with her yet.

Once more he reared up and drove himself into her, this time bringing his weight upon her middle. With a crash, his flint rammed back into the terra again, the mass of ashen land rising in a soft cloud about his daggers. Anger stormed his gazers as he reached out and took hold of Raven again. He sensed that she tired of this, her tresses were surely getting sore now, perhaps he'd even cause some bleeding soon enough, but that wasn't on his mind. Pulling backward again, much harder than ever before, he held on and shouted to her again.

Come one, bitch! Let the volcano know your name!

His height hit her hard in the middle of her body. She could not bear anymore and she stumbled and then fell hard to the ground. The dust of the ground drew up and swirled around her body, dull her bay coat. She again looked up at him as he grabbed her locks and yanked. There she saw a fire burning bright that she had not seen in his orbs until now. She stood up and pulled her head away from his maw. Tears of pain burning her eyes as she shouted at him.

Raven, you bastard! Her sides heaved heavily as she tried to bring air into her lungs. A fire claimed her orbs too as she stared at him hard.

So what am I
What do I have but negativity

And there it was. The fire that he was digging for finally lashed out at him. Within, he felt himself cackling. She was feeding into him, her rage turning into his passion. Hearing her scream to him as she fell to the earth and screeched aloud to him. Bastard? Well she was a sprite then. Baring his fangs to her, his nares flared upon her as he scent his hot breath down upon her, her sweet scent lifting to his nares in return.

He remained still for a moment, just staring back to her with a fiery gaze enough to challenge the one that she bore. He saw her tears then, painfilled yet fiery with a passion to herself. Romantic, but rather disgusting. She answered him atleast, but the attitude was another thing. On one hand, he liked the challenge, but on the other it was quite disrespectful. Parting his liprims, he quietly hissed down to her in reply.

Good. Don't forget it. he hissed.

Suddenly he took a bound backwards and reared a moment, flints flailing in the air. Taking a second the survey the fae beneath him (assuming she's still on the ground b/c I don't recall reading her getting up), he launched himself forward, flints striking dangerously close to Raven as he landed barely behind her. Snaking towards her dial, he lashed out his ivories at her let his fangs sink into the top of her boa, hoping to draw blood from his bite.

But that wasn't enough, oh no, as long as he had his grip on her serpentine, his foredaggs lifted too. Still on the terra she was, pelt coated in ash, obscuring her beauty to the sights as it clouded her true colors. And being on the earth, she was very much exposed. Foredagg lifted as his weight was supported by his hindservants and delievered themselves smartly onto her spine. A sharp kick, how sharp would be determined by her, how much she could bear of him as he attacked.

That's for your manners, bitch, he lashed in sharp tongue as he released his bite on her. Tossing his crown a moment, sorrel tresses falling all about his facade, he stared down at Raven in his anger, chest rising and falling fast with his sharp breaths. Turning, as if to walk away, his hindpillars gave one last kick at her bod while he moved away. Returning himself, he paused to survey her and all that he had done. Perhaps he hadn't meant to go so rough, but he had energy to burn and she had lessons to learn. Pools were enraged in fire now as he watched her again, waiting to see if she'd stand, waiting to see what she'd say next.

'Cause I can't justify the
way everyone is looking at me.

Cinderella's bay coated sides heaved as she breathed deeply. She did not know what to expect out of the stag. As his ivories sunk into her boa she gasped out in pain, she felt a small trickle of blood seep down the side of her neck. She began to thrash beneath him trying to escape his weight. Her actions sent the ashes around them flying once more leave his pelt a clouded murky mess, too. She inhaled sharply as she felt his weight once more sift on top of her. A sear of sharp pain flew up her spinal cord as she felt his fore dagger hit her square in the spine. With pain radiating through her body from his abuse she rolled to her side and heaved with breathing. She lay so still except for the movement of breathing and just stared at him.

Nothing to lose
Nothing to gain, hollow and alone

And so the silence cut through them again. Yann felt his jagged breath etching across his chest, convulsing within him like a mad beast threatening to break free. And here was Raven, once more her gaze fixed upon him, but her breath as ragged as his own. Strange how it is when you fight fire with fire. His pools melted over her form, still lovely he had to admit, but coated now in ash, giving her an almost darker appearance. He himself was also fairly coated, but he would wash it off later. He saw the flow of crimson from her fresh wound as it trickled down her serpentine, cutting through the ash itself, cleaning a path to be seen.

At times he wondered what he would have been like had fate given him a real heart instead of a cold stone and d*mn mother without senses. Would he have treated Raven better? Would she have like him perhaps? He figured the chances would have been much better for he wasn't a bad looking stag, in fact he quite enjoyed his sorrel appearance. Pools blinked lithelessly as he sprawled over his thoughts, like a tape player replaying past events, looking for a lost flaw somewhere, but finding none. He had no regrets for himself, he was proud for how he was and nothing, nothing would change that.

He bared his incisors for a moment to Raven as his pools met hers, fire spilling from then for a moment as he covered his fangs again. What next... perhaps he'd give her the day to rest? She was already quite turmoiled... but why make the fun wait when she was in such a fun state. He had been bitten by a rattlesnake before, yet that never brought him down. He could hardly remember that day, except the fact that he just kept on running, not daring to slow down a moment after the strike. His heel was mended, paralyzed for a good week, but still workable. And today he was even quicker on his feet. Lessons learned while you're on your own at a young age, and again, he had no regrets.

Slowly, he inched himself closer to Raven again, this time, pools searching into hers, not so much threatening, but still flamed. He paused feet from her, audits still pinned backwards and bod an ashen mess as was hers. He still needed answers, he wanted to know this bitch, know her like she was a part of himself. He never understood the pure tribe and their ways, then again neither side did dare to cross except on the forcing occassions where the darkness always ruled supreme as was the case now.

Why did you choose purity, Raven? he asked in a deadly quiet voice, just simply staring into her amber pools, looking deeply for a response, not understanding her ways. You saw your dam suffer, you lived among darks, why did you choose it?

And the fault is my own

Cinderella still laid upon the ash covered ground, in a surrendering sort of way. She closed her orbs tightly as she absorbed Yann's question. She concentrated a moment on her breathing and getting her heart rate back to normal. She hoped that he was finished with his abuse for now, she knew in her heart that he was not done with it completely. She begged God to make him leave her alone for a while. She wanted sleep but she was scared of it because it always came with nightmares for her. She wanted the pain to go away but she knew it would return once he started the abuse again. Her thoughts flipped back to his question. Why had she chosen pure life?

Orbs still tightly closed she answered him; her voice has a harsh tone to it now from the yelling. I guess because I hated watching the horrors that my sire bestowed upon others, I hated that I had to watch them horrors day in and day out. Also, to help avenge my mother's death. I thought maybe I could actually help someplace.

For a moment he stood still, just staring her over. He heard her songs, but he couldn't understand her terms. Well, maybe he could. She was doing it for her dam perhaps then. But if one is doomed for failure, why would you continue to walk in their path? Virtue? Honor? Things he didn't see as important in certain definition.

I hope you still think it was worth it, he whispered coldly.

Pulling away for a moment, he turned and began to walk away. Trekking through the ash terra, cloud dusts flew up about him as he walked. He would leave her for now, but he would be back. In fact, he didn't even plan to leave. He was the insight of the Mountain and rarely let things slip out beneath him. In fact, his bitches were a priority that he always kept a tight notch on.

Finding a tree nearby, he walked beneath it and turned so his pool was exposed to where Raven lay. His bod worked on a strange clock, sometimes resting and sometimes not. Some days he could go nights without sleep, others he took his breaks throughout the day. Here, he was ready for a rest, but only with one pool shut, the other remained open and upon Raven, as he would have preferred it. There would be time after they both rested for him to have more fun later.

ooc. ugh, sorry, I have no idea what else I want to type. If you have ideas, post 'em and I'll go along with it, lol.
