Anime Channel, A new channel

Not sure if everyone knows about this, but for those who have sky television (not sure about ntl) there is a new Anime Channel started on channel 199 (i think ^^ it plays anime recently shown in AMerica, though it is all dubbed I will warn you. It shows programs like Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and many others. I have only watched some of it yesterday but surely having this channel is a good sign and shows anime is becoming alot more popular in england. However, it also means it's losing that...special feel as they continue to make it completely americanised and won;t sub and such, thats my opinion anyway X3

Ohhh also look out for the manga that is slowly raiding book shops. WHSmiths now sells alot of manga, more so in the big city one i go to than an actual comic shops range. It is also buy one get one free on tokyopop and because not alot are too into manga yet you can count on newer volumes being more in stock there than comic shops ^^ Such as loveless Yayyyy XD lol thats my post just thought I would say X3 toodles!

I heard about this channel but honestly I think it's rubbish compared to Adult Swim America has It shows the same shows that have already been on TV over and over again, the only new one to TV is Bleach apparently...

It's also quite disappointing that it's only on Sky, only 30% (and decreasing) of the UK population has Sky so 70% of people (like me) will be missing out.

No wonder they didn't splash out on other anime O.o

There aren't many other programmes honestly, these are the anime they are showing:

Planetes (Never heard of)
Vision of Escaflowne (Been on Jetix)
Bleach (Cheaper to get it on DVD than paying for Sky :/ )
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (Either love it or....you don't watch it I guess ^^; )
FullMetal Alchemist (was already on a channel on Sky that I forget the name of)
Transformers Headmasters (All because of the movie)

Really don't think they're going to get anywhere with that line-up of shows, sure you'll get the fans of them shows but there's a hell of a lot of anime out there; I just don't think they can afford the other ones

Ahh well that's my opinion on that anyways ^^;

About the manga, I'm quite glad that we are getting a better variety of manga up here now and even a shop that will order it in but we need more special events! >< Sure we had Tokyopop come at one point but we only get one every year if we're lucky...we need more! ><
