Dagnir Dunndurgul
It was a few hours past sunrise. Dagnir was wandering around, he was bored. He was staying in a house close to the mountains in a village where no questions were asked. The people thought he was a family member of the one who had lived in the house, but who had vanished in the mountains. Well, Dangir though, when the people would know what he really happened he wouldn't stay here long. He had ensorcelled the man, killed him and let the body disappear. He wondered when Iarwath would come and if she would have some more followers with her. He studied his surroundings, no, Iarwath wouldn't come yet. Or at least, so he thought. He went back to the house. What could he do today? He had practised horse riding the past days. There weren't a lot of horses in the south. There wasn't a lot of anything where he came from. He couldn't go out to visit some of the warriors he had gained for their case because he didn't want to be seen or followed. The people here might not ask questions, he knew they were very suspicious. And if he left too many times to visit the same men, they would see. And he wanted to avoid that. They shouldn't know who he was and what he wanted until the plan was ready. He looked outside and smiled, it was market day today. He could go and look for some food. He had money enough. Iarwath had given him some, he had some and the one he had killed had not been poor. He left the house and walked to the market place.

Iarwath
Iarwath smiled, finally they had reached the little town where Dagnir was staying. Just before they would step in sight of the inhabitants Iarwath realised it was a market day. And she realised too that she couldn't just walk unto the market place with a Troll at her side. They would have to remain hidden for sometime, at least until they had seen Dagnir. If he said she could take the Troll with her to the market place, she would. Otherwise not. Or perhaps....Iarwath smiled. She could of course let herself be seen. People would recognise her as the assassin and most likely try to kill her. Then the Troll could prove if he really had come with to protect her. No, perhaps she'd better wait for Dagnir. They could always try that later. She turned towards the Troll. "I think we best wait here for my friend, I don't know how the people will react when they see you, and I certainly don't want them to see me. Someone wants me dead and he lets the people believe I should be killed because I killed someone."

Iarwath smiled at the Troll's unease. "Don't worry, my friend will come soon. At least I hope so. He doesn't know when we would be here. But I'm sure he'll come this way soon. As long as we stay here, no one will harm us. Because they can't see us here. Just relax, if you can." Iarwath didn't fully understand why the Troll was so nervous, but she knew she had to keep him from doing stupid things. People that were very nervous always did something stupid. Not that she believed the Troll to be clever otherwise. Iarwath sat down and waited for Dagnir to come. She knew he would have felt their arrival. He wasn't stupid enough to forget to guard the place he was staying very well. He had enough experience to know how people would react would they find out who he was and who his newly arrived guests were.

Dagnir Dunndurgul
Dagnir returned from the market. He had bought some food and talked to some curious people who wanted to know where he came from and why he was here. He had made up some tale, but they most likely hadn't believed him. Even if he had told them the truth they wouldn't have believed him, he thought. As he entered his house, he felt the presence of the one he had been awaiting. So Iarwath was here. He hurried outside and went to meet them. "Hello Iarwath, finally. I see you brought some others." He said in greeting

Iarwath
Iarwath rose as she saw a figure coming towards them. There was no doubt that it was Dagnir. She could see it in his way of moving, his clothing and his coming straight to the place where they were waiting. Only he could know that they were here. When he reached them, she saw it was indeed Dagnir. She could hear the relief in his voice when he greeted her. Apparently he had been waiting for her a long time. "I brought indeed some others. I'll explain everything later, right know I could use some rest." Iarwath spoke in the language of the Haradrim as she didn't know whether the Troll understood the Black Speech or not. Iarwath was glad she had made it so far, She knew the moment King of Gondor or the Elves would find out she was still alive and planning mischief, the rest would be over. If she and Dagnir could gather enough followers of the Dark Lord before they found out she was alive, it would be too late for them. She and Dagnir had nothing to lose. Besides the long stay in Mordor and the torture at the hands of the Orcs and often Sauron had made her more than a little crazy some would say. Though that was not visible in her actions, safe then in those that were suicidal, as were most. And of course in the fact that she wasted the lives of those that followed her. As she couldn't see the differences between good and evil, it was impossible to make her see she was sometimes completely wrong. And the worst enemy you can meet is still the one who's insane.

Dagnir wasn't surprised by Iarwath's use of Haradrim speech. He didn't know if it was wise to reveal too much of their plans too soon. Certainly when they were not sure these would remain with them and be loyal to their cause. He knew there was always the chance they were betrayed. There were always people who sold information to the enemy. They had used that kind of people, but Dagnir knew they could also be used against them. He wondered again what Iarwath was up to this time, for he knew she hadn't only come to tell him she had perhaps found some that were willing to help them. He was planning on finding it out and he knew he wouldn't have to wait very long.

Iarwath
Iarwath studied Dagnir. Yes, he would be perfect for her plan. She wanted to remined the people of the existance of the Dark Lord's faithfull servants. And Dagnir would be the one to do that. She coudln't risk being seen or recognised. As long as people believed her to be nothing more than a tale to frighten young children was it perfect for her. There was little known about her and no information about her was for sale. All feared what she could do when she found out who sold information about her. But this time she would use those salesmen of information for her plan. Dagnir was perhaps not very well known by sight, but his name and actions in the War of the Rings were known in most parts of Middle-Earth.
Iarwath smiled when she thought once more about her plan and then leaned closer to Dagnir, explaning him what she had in mind. "Dangir, I know you don't want to draw any attention to your presence here, but I've got a small job for you. I want the roumor to be spread, the servants of the Dark Lord are once again gathering in the East. Make sure there lead tracks to the East and that there is evidence that the roumor is true. It will be much more easier to work when everyone believes we're in the East somewhere. It would certainly be nice when some of our enemies go there to search us while we are here and can kill those they left behind, 'safe'. " Iarwath paused, giving Dagnir time to say something, but before he had found something to say, she continued. "I know it is risky, that it might be that the plan doesn't work, but I think we should try. I think we need to act soon and strike fast, before they can organise. I want no great battles as large armies are so hard to command and so can be easely destroyed. I prefer swift and unexpected attacks, with little deads at our side and a lot at the side of our enemy."
That her plan might cost Dagnir his life hadn't crossed her mind. And even if it had, she would not have altered the plan. Dagnir was simply someone she could use and kill when she no longer needed him.

Dagnir listened carefully while Iarwath explained her plan. It was good, even perfect. It was something he should have thought of. The only thing that bothered him was that he had to lay false tracks and spread the roumor. He didn't like it in the least, but who else was there? Who else could do it? Certainly not the Troll.
When Iarwath paused and gave him time to reply, he said nothing. He couldn't refuse her plan, because he had promised to help her, because she could kill him and because she was right. Someone had to do it and the only one who could do it without leaving any visible tracks that might give them away was he. He could work on others minds so that they believed what he told to be the truth. That they had heard it from someone that could be trusted, which would be false. But it would be enought, he knew, to convince their enemies. Still he had to be very carefull when he did so, for if he made a mistake he would pay for it with his life. Should he not be killed by the enemy, Iarwath would make sure he didn't survive much longer.
When Iarwath continued he gave her all his attention. Knowing she wouldn't appreciate it, should he not listen. He had about the same opinion as Iarwath about large battles, though these could come in handy when you wanted to destroy a nation. What she proposed and wanted was good for him. It lessened the risks they would take and it would make them even more feared, which was the Iarwath's intention. Dagnir doubted somehow that she would mourn those that fell in her service. He knew she wouldn't mourn his death, only curse him for leaving her like that.
When Iarwath finished her explanation he smiled and answered he would certainly do what she asked. He also complimented her for making up this plan. Finally they had something that could be called a plan of attack. Some things would be changed of course, but they had something, while their enemy had nothing yet. And Dagnir would make sure all the information their enemy got, was false. And when their enemy would find out they had been tricked, it would be too late...

Iarwath
Iarwath sensed the Troll's change of temper more than she saw it. "I'm so sorry. I hadn't thought about it that you would most likely not understand us." She sounded like she truly hadn't thought about it. "I promise you I won't do it again. It's only, well, we normally talk Haradrim speech with each other. We didn't talk about anything very important. I explained Dagnir my situation and how kind you were to accompany me." Iarwath hoped this would calm the Troll down and flatter him. She knew she would have to ask him to join their war against all those that had opposed Sauron. She had no idea how she could ask the Troll to help her, as she knew little about Trolls and she wasn't sure he would be willing to do.
Then she got an idea. She could of course tell him a story that proved her right to kill her lost Lord's enemies. That was something that might work. The Troll had accompanied her because of her story, perhaps it would work again.
She would wait until Dagnir was gone to get some food for the Troll and then start telling her story. It had to work.

Dagnir studied the Troll while Iarwath gave him some exaggerated explanation. He always marvelled at how easy Iarwath could lie, and how fast she could make up some story. He saw not a real reason to give the Troll an explanation, but when he gave the axe a closer look he decided it was safer what Iarwath was doing.
When he heard her remark about the food, he excused himself to get some. He had no idea what a Troll ate, but guessed he would eat meat. Dagnir was glad he had gone to the market and bought some meat. It was probably not enough for the Troll, but it would have to do for now. He could get more later. He went to his house to get it. Dagnir knew Iarwath wanted him away and talk to the Troll in privat. So he would have to stay away some time. Good, he didn't like Trolls very much anyway.

Iarwath
Iarwath turned to the Troll as soon as Dagnir had left. "I would like to ask you something, but I'm not sure if you'll be willing to do what I ask and I'm also not very sure how I need to ask you. I guess I'll just tell you. Would you, please, join me in my fight against all those that want to kill me and the few friends I have left? Before you say yes or now, I think you deserve to know what happened." Iarwath paused, from this point on she would have to lie. She hadn't yet told the Troll who she was fighting.
"Some years ago, there was a war, it is named the War of the Ring. In that war, I fought on the wrong side. At least, what Gondor and the Elves called the wrong side. They told everyone they wanted to rid the world of a great evil, but they were evil themselves. They said we were cruel, but what they did to us was truly cruel. Do you konw how many they killed and in what ways they were killed. They said what we did was wrong, and that we had to be destroyed. But, tell me, are we as evil as they say? We fought to defend ourselves. It were the Haradrim that used the war against Sauron to attack Gondor. Sauron, nor any of his followers had meant to attack Gondor. Dagnir spoke against the attack and was banished. The Haradrim were wrong, but those that did those things have all been killed by the Gondorians. I might forgive them as they did it to help their people. I have been in the South and there there is nothing. The Haradrim have hardly enough water and food. But what the Gondorians did to us, who had nothing to do with the attack on Gondor, I cannot forgive. I have promised to revenge all our deads. But I can't do that on my own. Please will you help me?" Iarwath begged. She hoped her story would be convincing. She was a good liar, yes, but she had troubles with making up a convincing story as she didn't know how much the Troll knew about all those things. And how he felt towards the servants of the Dark Lord. She hoped he would help her. She needed much more warriors and a Troll was very usefull. This one seemed to be a little smarter than those Sauron had had as servants. He would be usefull.

Khan still sat down, though he was still as tall as the other to people he was with. The lady who needed his help and the man who was supposed to be getting him some food.
"I promise you I won't do it again. It's only, well, we normally talk Haradrim speech with each other. We didn't talk about anything very important. I explained Dagnir my situation and how kind you were to accompany me."
"Well i don't know who this Haradrim fella is yer talkin' about but if thats all yer where talkin' about then thats ok".
Khan watched the man as he left, hoepfully to get some food. Khan hadn't eaten for hours and he was hungry after all this walking and thinking. One of them brown horses would be nice, or maybe a pig.
"I would like to ask you something, but I'm not sure if you'll be willing to do what I ask and I'm also not very sure how I need to ask you. I guess I'll just tell you. Would you, please, join me in my fight against all those that want to kill me and the few friends I have left? Before you say yes or now, I think you deserve to know what happened." Khans face was scrunched up, one eye was closed and his head was slightly tilted. This lady must be a bit funny in the head, he thought. She spoke up again though, and he listened as best he could, His knowledge of the human language wasn't great, but he understood most of it.
He listened to her story. It was all a bit confusing for Khans troll brain, but he got most of it. "Well those guys do sound a bit mean, i think you should get them back. But it sounds a bit long and dangerous for me, and what do you want me to do exactly?, I remember hearing about all that stuff awhile ago but it sounded a bit strange to me. All this nonsense about rings. I dont know.
It was true, Khan really had no idea what to do or say. He probaly wasn't even making sense, his brain was being pushed to its limits. "Tell me why you need me and what you want me to do, and tell me what im gonna be gettin' outta all this. Then I'll tell ya if im comin or not".
Khan stood up, swinging his axe over his massive shoulders and placing it in a rough looking sheath type thing. He looked at the lady waiting for her to answer him..

Iarwath
Iarwath smiled when the Troll replied. But she also wondered how good it was to have this Troll at her side, he wasn't very smart after all. If she could talk him round, others could also. Not that it was a very likely thing to happen. Every warrior that fought the servants of the Dark Lord would kill a Troll on sight. And what did she wanted him to do? She had no idea. She would have to wait for Dagnir to spread false information and then she could act.
"I don't want you to do anything yet. I would hate to loose you, so I think I best wait until I found some others that are willing to help us. You've been such a good friend already. I don't want to see you die."
This was rather exaggerated, but Iarwath had temporaly little inspiration to give a full explanation and knew only half what she wanted. For now it would be enough to keep the Troll with her. She guessed Dagnir would have laid the false tracks and spread the false information within the week, then they could pass to action. A week would be enough to ensure the Troll remained loyal to her and to teach him some more of the common speech. At least, she hoped it would be enough.
