Gandalf walked up to the main entrance into Bree. The gate was new, the ringwraiths had knocked down the old one, or so he had heard. No need to worry about those evil creatures now, they perished along with all the other evil things, gandalf thought to himself, but he knew better, he was after all, the white wizard who had been around for 100's of years, He hoped with everything he had that when the ring was destroyed that all evil was destroyed with it, but something inside him told him it wasnt so. But he didnt want to think about all of that now, he came to meet some old friends, make some new ones, and have some good Ale at the Prancing Pony.
The gate was open, The gate keep called to him "Good to see you again Gandalf, are you well?". "Yes very well indeed" Gandalf replied, he gave a friendly smile and carried on walking. He hadnt been here since the ring had been destroyed, infact this was the first time he had time to relax. He had many places and people to see, and at last he had finished all the important buisness.
The day was warm and there was a slight breeze, just how he liked it. His grey and brown cloak blew slightly as he walked towards the Prancing Pony Inn, He didnt have his white cloak on, it was a bit out of place at a town like Bree. He saw the familiar sign and entered the door below it. He almost fell over backwards as he entered, there was a band playing on the stage, people dancing and singing, drinking and laughing. The noise was terribly loud and Gandals aged ears hurt from it. He didnt however care, He just laughed and greeted his friends. He made his way over to the bar, using his staff to puch drunk men out the way and sat down. "Harrington Stout please" he asked the bartender. "Ofcourse my dear Gandalf, its good to see you again". "You too my dear friend". They laughed together and Gandalf happily took his drink and took a long, well earned sip. He looked around the large room at all the happy people, still celebrating the victory. He pulled out his pipe and filled it with pipe weed, lit it and took a large puff, then blowing out a set of smoke rings. He Hoped to see some more of his friends but most the people there he didnt know very well, He continued to watch the crowd, dancing and drinking.

Iarwath
Darkness was falling. Iarwath looked around, feeling a little out of place. She was wearing black as usual, but instead of a black cloak she wore a cloak she had stolen from one of her ranger victims. She couldn't just enter the Inn dressed as the infamous assassin she was. With one last look around, she pushed the door of the inn open and entered. Her entrance wasn't noticed, or so she thought, for the inn was crowded and many were good on the way for getting drunk. Iarwath walked over to the bar, asked a room for the night and asked if food could be brought to the room. She had no desire to eat in the common room, for that meant she would have to reveal her face. Iarwath mounted the steps to the first floor and when she arrived at the landing she turned and let her eyes roam the crowd. She noticed old man in his grey and brown clothes and found him looking familiar. But she couldn't place him. She shrugged and entered her room. Perhaps she would have the chance for a talk with him later. Right now she needed rest. She had travelled a long way and she was truly tired. She was lying in bed when someone knocked on the door...

Iarwath
Iarwath slowly walked towards the door. Perhaps it was someone with the food she had ordered, but something told her it wasn't that. Before opening the door she checked if her face was well hidden. When she was satisfied, she opened the door and found the old man standing there, leaning on his staff. She hesitated, wondering why he had come. When she couldn't find an answer immediatly she waved him inside. But she was careful to stay close to the wall and unsheated a dagger, holding it hidden beneath her cloak. She moved towards the window, her way out if things went wrong, never turning her back to her visitor. Iarwath was still searching her memory to where she had seen that man before. "What do you want?" She asked at last.

Gandalf.
Gandalf walked into the room, with a slight limp, and crouched over like an old man. He watched the woman carefully, but kept a friendly smile on his face. "Oh i was just wondering what you were doing here, thought i should introduce myself" He said with a friendlt voice. He could tell she was trying to figure out who he was, and what he was really doing here. He could sense trouble, but kept it to himself. "Im Derfel by the way" He lied, but in a confident and convincing voice. He was certain she would know the name Gandalf, and as he was being careful, he thought he should leave his true identity out of this. He had made sure he put a small spell on change his appearance a little, and hoped his act of an old man was convincing.

Iarwath
Iarwath watched the old man slightly puzzled. He seemed to be somewhat different from the man she had seen in the common room. But she might have seen wrong. She had however a feeling that this man was not one probable to become a friend. She didn't trust him, though she couldn't explain why, but so far those feelings she had had never been wrong.
"Derfel, you introduced yourself. But can you please explain why you thought I needed compagny. If I watned compagny, I would have remained downstairs." Iarwath said coldly. "I need no compagny. I wish to be alone for a while. Some things have happened and I need to think them over." She said, her tone making clear she wasn't in the mood for talks.
Who the hell was he, and more important, why did she have the feeling she knew him, as enemy?

Dagnir entered the inn. He ordered some ale and sat down in a corner. He wondered where exactly he was. He had never been so far from home. Home no longer, he thought, He remembered all too well the destruction that had followed Sauron's fall and where the last survivors of his army had perished. He hadn't returned south. He would be killed if he returned. He had lost his warriors, they had died because he had made a wrong decision. No, he shook his head, he had made the right decision. Losing all his warrios had been worth it. He was now so much stronger than he would have been otherwise. Besides, he would find others to serve him soon. But first he would have to find some more news about Iarwath. He had been searching her ever since the destruction of the Ring, but she was hard to find. Perhaps he should find some warriors first. He looked around him. Everywhere there were people waiting to join a band of mercenaries. He didn't have a band, but that wasn't important, he was a magician desperatly in need of warriors. The only thing he needed to do was get the chance to talk to them privatly and ensorcel them. It wasn't the best solution, but it would do. He waited for an good opportunity to present itself and overheard a discussion between the innkeeper and someone looking for a room for the night. He heard the innkeep say that the odd fellow in a ranger cloak but otherwise dressed in black had hired the last one. Could it be her? It might be.
Perhaps he better waited some more before ensoceling people. The odd fellow, like the innkeep had said, would have to come down and then he would be here, waiting. If it was her he would know. He could of course just go up and ask, but if he was wrong it would be stupid. He didn't want to draw too much attention. The people here had no love for the Haradrim and he wouldn't give them a reason to harm him. If the one in the room was Iarwath, they would teach how wrong these stupid villagers had been in rejecting Sauron and his servants he thought. Alone he couldn't do much, but with Iarwath... Yes, together they could take over control of the different clans of the Haradrim and then the world would know fear.
He ordered another ale and waited.

Iarwath
Iarwath was about to give another unfriendly reply when she realised that it might be good to get to know this old man a little better. When you know someone it's always easier to find that person's weaknesses. And as she was certain the old man was her enemy it would be good to know who he really was. Something about him told her that he was more than he appeared at first sight. "Well, then, thank you for welcoming me. I'm just passing through this town, I won't stay very long. And it doesn't seem to me like there is much worth visiting around here." Iarwath said. "Why would you present me to your friends, you don't know me and I don't know you." Which was a lie for she did know him, only she couldn't remember why she knew him. "But perhaps we can continue our talk in downstairs. I oredered food and I still haven't got it so I'll go down and ask for it and something to drink. And I won't leave you here alone. You may say you're here to welcome me, but why can't you be a thief?"

Iarwath followed Gandalf, still thinking hard. Where did she know him from? She knew she had to remember it fast, the longer it took the harder it would be to get her out of this situation. If the people here would know half of what she had done they would kill her without hesitating. As she went downstairs her eyes drifted over the crowd automatically, she froze. It couldn't be him, she thought. What is he doing here. He's supposed to be in the South. She continued walking down the stairs before the old man noticed her behavior. She would go over and have a look at him later. It might be it wasn't him, but when she saw his clothes it was certainly Dagnir. She followed the old man towards the bar, her eyes occasionaly drifting back to the person she thought to be Dagnir.

Dagnir looked up when he heard someone coming down the stairs. It was an old man, no not an old man, he corrected himself, but a wizard. He remembered Gandalf all too well. He was one of the world's most powerfull magicians, certainly the powerfullst human one, but against Gandalf he was powerless. He had seen Gandalf before, but he doubted if Gandalf had seen him before. He hoped he hadn't. Then his eyes were drawn to the person following the wizard. Apparently a ranger, but the person's movements were too fluent, too gracefull to be human. Nearly instinctivly he knew that person was an Elf and there was only one Elf he knew that would disguise herself as ranger and that was Iarwath. But why was she together with the old man? They were enemies. Then he realised Iarwath had always had trouble with remembering certain faces and persons for a long time. It might be she simply didn't remember who he was or that she was with him to kill him. He wondered if he could go to her and ask for a word. One glance at Gandalf however told him it was better to wait for her to come to him. Gandalf was not one that could be defeated easily. And he preferred not starting a fight right here.

Gandalf was busy in his thoughts, and how to get out of this stupid and unplanned sitiuation he got himself into. He had no idea that the Elf had just seen someone, and no idea that, that someone had seen the Elf. He continued down the stairs, oblivious to the two people in the room that he really didnt want to see together. Gandalf reached the bottom of the creaky stairs and turned around, "You go inquire about your food my lady, im going to step otaide for a minute, all this noise is painful on my old ears". Gandalf didnt wait for a reply and continued his unstable 'old mans' walk outside. He filled his pipe up and lit it, then blew a question mark with the smoke. "Who is this woman and why do i have such bad feelings about this, and what the hell am i doing? i have no plan and acted to fast." He said to himself, and cursed. He hoped he would figure it out quickly.

Iarwath
Iarwath sighed in relief when the old man said he would go out. She had no idea how she would have gotten to Dagnir otherwise. She waited until the old man had left, just before he stepped out the door it seemed as if another image shove over this one. She saw the old man, but it was not really him. She saw...the black gate and the man dressed in white. The wizard that accompagnied the human the Elf and the Dwarf. And she hated him. She shook off those thoughts, she would consider it later, right now she wanted to know why Dagnir was here. She walked over to him and saw he was watching her. She couldn't see his face, but she could guess he was smiling. She sat down next to him. "So, how are you doing? And why are you here? Hadn't you said you would go South back to your people?" She asked, both curious and glad to have him here.

Dagnir saw the wizard leaving Iarwath and going outside. He smiled, this would be much easier. He saw Iarwath, or the one he hoped was Iarwath coming towards him. He made a inviting gesture to the seat next to him. He answered Iarwath's question. He knew it was Iarwath, only she would have asked something like this. "I haven't gone South because I wouldn' t be welcomed. I can't go back as long as I have no warriors that serve me and because something kept me here. I guess it was you that kept me here. It seems as if you have gotten yourself into trouble. Or did you think I had forgotten that wizard?" He added. "Anyway, now that I've found you I want to help you. Let's see, I think I can ensorcel someone with a house and go there. Then when you need somewhere to go to you can come. While you're gone I can start searching for some warriors that want to serve us."
