How long had it been? Two words… two long. It had been quite a shock, the letter asking him back to the team. He had always denied it, but he had missed the school and the students since he left. They were amusing if nothing else and they kept him busy. He had spent his days since then traveling the length and width of Northern Alberta with no avail as to finding the answers he was looking for. He had stopped at his usual motel when the clerk handed him the letter with the school emblem on the back. He went upstairs, had diner and a shower before he opened it with a smile. A letter and a passport fell out. If it was possible, the inside was even better than the outside.
The letter asking him back had been signed: Scott Summers. That brought a rumble of laughter out him that few things had in a while. He pack that morning, settled his bills and began to make his way back to New York. Three days later he stepped off the train in Winchester. It was only now that he began to feel a little nervous. All sorts of thoughts began to flood his mind but he halted them with some careful concentration. He probably could have taken the bus but chose to walk instead. He arrived at the familiar gates and took a deep breath before walking up the path.
The school hadn’t changed at all. There were still kids everywhere doing what they used to. The only thing that had changed was that he knew none of the faces. They apparently knew his however because as he walked, some stopped to greet him formally or just stare. He returned the greetings with a nod and ignored the others as he walked up to the large oak doors. He stood for a second before pushing them open and walking into the foyer with another breath. He was about to continue walking when he saw a shape coming towards him at quite a pace. He dropped his backpack and managed to catch the figure just before they were both bowled over. He stood the figure back on its feet and was about to say something when he was headed off by a breathless voice…

( I hope you don't mind me joining in here, but running into someone sounds just about like something Aurelie would do.)
" Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, but Monseur, I.." She looked to his face and gave a sort of confused look, as if she were unsure and hesistant." I'm sorry..." She murmured." From the window, you looked so much like someone I knew once. You still do but, he'd be dead now." She said as she slowly pulled away from him.
She seemed a bit saddened in appearance, but she looked back to Logan." You must be who everyone's talking about. The Wolverine?" She asked him softly. She glanced over him once more, seeming in disbelief." They have said such things about you. Are you truly as they say? They say you're immortal. It is true?" She murmured, her eyes holding an odd sort of innocence within them, yet they held such a firm fimilar look. She recognized him. But her memory of his face was from sixty years before.
It had came to her many times that she'd have to forget her first half of life to live successfully. All of the people she had known, all of their faces. They were all gone now. Friendship, family, all of them had died, yet she remained. It made her feel rather sick at the thought. There were so many things she should've told them. Now the chance was lost and gone. Her only way of moving on to try and start again.
She had seen some of Logan's approach to the school. He was obviously well known and liked among the students. From what she had heard, he was strict, but that he was definately whom she needed to see. Of course, there were those few rumors going around the school regarding Logan, but Aurelie had learned not to take everything people said at face value, which actually was a bit difficult for her to do.

(Not a problem, the more the merrier)
Logan caught the figure and stood her back on her feet. She seemed out of breath and as he was about to say something, she cut him off with an apology.
“Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, but Monsieur, I...” She looked to his face and gave a sort of confused look, as if she were unsure and hesitant." I'm sorry..." She murmured."
As she looked at him, Logan instantly recognized her. He had definitely met her before, but where? Her face came to him in a courtyard of some kind and he was in a uniform. He never spoke to her but an officer next to him did and she had replied meekly. Suddenly he remembered exactly where it was and his stomach contracted.
He had seen her in Germany in a concentration camp. He had been undercover as a Nazi officer and had been involved in some of the experimentation that had happened. He had witnessed a few of the atrocities that had happened and remembered she had definitely been part of it. She was part of the experiment to turn brown eyes blue and another experiment he was not privy to. He never knew what happened to her as a few days later, the camp was stormed and the occupants still alive were rescued. He was arrested and taken to an allied camp where he was relieved of undercover duty. He never knew what became of the girl, but he listened to her as she spoke and she confirmed his thoughts.
“From the window, you looked so much like someone I knew once. You still do but, he'd be dead now." She said as she slowly pulled away from him.
She was right; he had met her before, but years before. That sentence confirmed it. It was the how that he wanted filled it. He focused back on her as she spoke again.
“You must be who everyone's talking about. The Wolverine?" She asked him softly
He stared at her face for a little while before registering and answering. “Apparently, cause there ain’t any other…” He didn’t know how much about him she remembered but he dearly wished he did. If she remembered him the way he remembered her, then anyone else would have run screaming already. He didn’t know what else to say but she saved him from saying anything.
"They have said such things about you. Are you truly as they say? They say you're immortal. It is true?"
“Yea I am but who are you and why are you still alive? I know your face but not your name… Anyway, were blocking the door, c’mon.” He lifted his bag again and began to walk, hoping she would follow him.

She listened to him, seeming shocked. He remembered her? As he passed, she followed. For the first time in what felt like ages she seemed to feel like she was among fimilar faces again. She remembered him like it had merely happened a month before. He was one of the men at the camp. A soft smile played on her lips at the memories. Of course, not because of what had happened there, but merely because of him.
She had always had a gut feeling each time she saw his eyes. His eyes were different from the other men there. She knew that he had been different, but she had never been able to confirm it. She had tried to ask, but none of the soldiers there spoke French, and she didn't speak a word of German.
" I.. do not know all the details." She admitted softly." But, I was told that what happened in Germany, that gave me these.." She gently motioned to her fangs." That.. it made me.. sensitive.. to the cold." She told him." When it is too cold, I just fall asleep until it gets warm again." She murmured." They said I was brought into town by a man and his dog sled team, they thought I was dead. I woke up, and I couldn't understand anything. They cornered me, and.. I guess I just fought back." She explained.
" I.. did not have a name until I left the camps." She told Logan." My.. my father gave me my name. He was a soldier by the name of Pierre Laroux. Once the fighting was over, he promised to take me to his home in.. Alberta.." She explained." We did go, but... I don't remember how we got seperated.."

Logan walked towards the sitting room, the girl following his steps. He had no idea what to do with her and that concerned him. He did not know her memories of him and he had first hand experience of just how powerful memories could be. As he set his bag down, he swung into a chair and motioned for her to sit. He noted the smile that played on her lips and that eased his nerves, if only slightly. He focused completely on her as she spoke.
" I.. do not know all the details." She admitted softly." But, I was told that what happened in Germany that gave me these...” She gently motioned to her fangs." That.. it made me.. sensitive.. to the cold." She told him." When it is too cold, I just fall asleep until it gets warm again." She murmured." They said I was brought into town by a man and his dog sled team, they thought I was dead. I woke up, and I couldn't understand anything. They cornered me, and.. I guess I just fought back." She explained.
So it was her… just before he had left Canada, he had heard in the papers of a girl found in the ice. The paper said she was a raving lunatic who attacked anyone in sight, but this girl seemed remarkably sane. Maybe her only crime was a temper? If that was the case, he could sympathize. It was the rest of it that had his nerves jumping. Germany had given her fangs? Were they not there as mutation, or had they been there and Germany had enhanced them. All the questions had his head reeling! At least he now knew how the others had felt when they had met him…
" I.. did not have a name until I left the camps." She told Logan." My.. my father gave me my name. He was a soldier by the name of Pierre Laroux. Once the fighting was over, he promised to take me to his home in.. Alberta.." She explained." We did go, but... I don't remember how we got separated.."
Pierre. H had met the man, he remembered. Hadn’t liked him though, too nosy. At this, Logan began to frown. If she falls asleep when it gets cold, Alberta would have had it’s very own Sleeping Beauty. It never got above -5 deg.C up there. So if he had taken her up there and she had fallen asleep, did he just leave her on the road? What had happened?
Logan looked over at the girl. He knew the lost look in her eyes and realized that it was no good asking her. She remembered nothing. So far, he had been listening in silence. But when he spoke, he decided to change to a more current subject. “Well, what’s in the past can’t harm or change us anymore so there is no use dwelling on it, trust me. But, if you were found way up there, how did you get to the school?”

She nodded and carefully took a seat, relaxing somewhat.Aurelie looked to him, listening intently to his question. She wasn't exactly fimilar with the details herself, so she tried to explain it the best that she could." I woke up." She told him." In an odd white place, white walls.. floors." She explained simply." There were people there, but, I didn't understand what they said. They had me attached to machines, but, I was so confused. One moment, I'm with my father, and the next, in that room. They cornered me, I was so scared, I just.. couldn't help it." She admitted softly.
Her eyes slowly moved to him, the nervousness within them no doubt caused because she feared that he would be fearful of her. Most everyone had been after they heard about it. Slowly, she continued."Then they.. used something.. a needle... an.. everything went black. I woke up later, in a room with pillows on the walls. They had my arms tied, and these people kept coming in. I didn't know why, or what they were doing." She admitted." Then one day, a man came in.. they untied me, and then I came here." She explained, looking to Logan." They kept me in the basement, after I sent a few people to a place called.. Ifirrery." She said, obviously not sure what the place was actually called." They kept me there for a few weeks, then let me stay up here, with everyone else." She explained." I've been.. trying to avoid the others, being around others, makes my chest hurt, and I feel light-headed and scared." She explained to him, but then reasoned." but.. With you here.. I.. I don't feel odd at all.."

Logan thought he would struggle to follow her train of thought, but it was actually a lot easier that he suspected. She seemed to relax as they sat down and for that he was glad. As anxious as he was about what she remembered, he actions up till now had shown him that it was not him she feared.
" I woke up." She told him." In an odd white place, white walls.. floors." She explained simply." There were people there, but, I didn't understand what they said. They had me attached to machines, but, I was so confused. One moment, I'm with my father, and the next, in that room. They cornered me, I was so scared, I just.. couldn't help it." She admitted softly.
This description made him sit up and take notice. He knew close to how she must have felt. Wake up, there is a lot of people doing things to you you don't understand or particularly care for. He became angry from the get go when it happened to him, she seemed to become frightened first.
The end of her sentence also struck a chord. He knew what retaliation in anger was, he had done it often enough to know it's dire concequences. However, to go from having them testing you into a padded cell could not have been fun in any way. He focused again as she continued.
Her eyes slowly moved to him, the nervousness within them no doubt caused because she feared that he would be fearful of her.
As she looked to him, he saw the fear in her eyes and smiled lopsidedly. He was knew how she must feel after revealing that, but tried to assure her that he understood, although he didn't have the words to say it.
"Then one day, a man came in.. they untied me, and then I came here."
At least someone came for her. He hated to think about all the mutants that went through similar trails but with no semi-happy ending.
"They kept me in the basement, after I sent a few people to a place called.. Ifirrery."...They kept me there for a few weeks, then let me stay up here, with everyone else."
He smiled at this and chuckled a little. He had also been introduced to the Institute via the infirmary. "I know how you must have felt, I was also introduced to the Institue on my back. It's a little unnerving hey?" He looked back to her as she finished and frowned a little before smiling again.
" I've been.. trying to avoid the others, being around others, makes my chest hurt, and I feel light-headed and scared." She explained to him, but then reasoned." but.. With you here.. I.. I don't feel odd at all.."
This feeling he also knew. He looked at her and said, "Don't worry about that feeling, it comes and goes and you get used to it. It's the fear of the other people around you. It passes after a while, just give yourself space." At his last words, Logan took her hand gently before smiling. "Well, you have been here now longer than I have. Wanna show me what's changed? And besides, I'm starving." He stood up and offered her a hand as he picked up his bag.

She listened and nodded, but as he took her hand she felt a blush come across her cheeks. She slowly stood and gave a soft nod. Obviously, she hadn't been expecting the offer, but she seemed somewhat glad with it. She then looked to the doorway, unsure fo where to go.
She then looked back to Logan, her eyes showing how hesistant she was." I.. suppose going to the kitchen first would be best, then. Seeing as you've been traveling." She said, morely to herself than to him. Gently, she led him back to the kitchen, finally releasing his hand." What would you like?" She asked him, giving a soft smile as she moved to the fridgerator to no doubt get out whatever Logan would ask for.
Aurelie had always been one to try and please everybody, no matter what the cost. It made since that she'd try it even here. She wasn't a bad cook, or atleast she considered that she was decent. For the time she had lived, her knowledge of cooking was a bit more than most of the modern girls were taught at home, but unlike others, she had never actually read a real recipe before, and no doubt wouldn't have the lightest idea of how to start.

He watched her blush as he took her hand and smiled slightly. This was one of the few times that something from his past was not horrific or unhappy. In fact, she was quite lovely and he sympathized with her amnesiac predicament, he knew it all too well. As they stood, he noted that she was confused but decided to wait and see what she would do. As she looked at him, his eyes focused on her.
" I.. suppose going to the kitchen first would be best, then. Seeing as you've been traveling."
“That’s a smashin’ idea, I’m starvin’ and if I remember right, this place has some of the best food around.” He did not release her hand as she led him past the dining room toward the kitchen. As they entered the kitchen, he noted her confusion and listened to her as she moved to the fridge.
What would you like?" She asked him, giving a soft smile as she moved to the refrigerator to no doubt get out whatever Logan would ask for.
Logan realized what he confusion was caused by and decided to take lunch into his own hands. He had lived in various countries in his extended lifetime and there was nothing he liked more that food, except maybe a good beer. He walked round the other side and smiled at her. “Tell you what, you hand stuff to me and I’ll do it. This way, it’s go quick.” He turned the pan on and began to recite ingredients as he washed his hands.“Five large eggs, ham, a green pepper, mushrooms, milk and the salt and pepper.” He turned around and began lifting the items, he would need as he turned to see how far she was. “Promise, this is going to be the best omlette you ever had…”

She blinked as he offered to cook. She seemed to visibly relax and nodded as he began preparing. She moved, carefully mimicking him by washing her hands, though she didn't know why she was doing it. She never recalled ever seeing anyone wash their hands before, but then again, where she had been, even having access to a toilet was considered lucky.
Once finished with her hands, she heard him recite ingredients. She blinked, slowly getting out the cartons of eggs, recalling watching someone cook them for breakfast. She then moved to the table, grabbing the salt and pepper shakers. Howeverm at the rest, she frowned, unsure of what it all was." HAAm? "She asked him, obviously her English class handn't gone over a lot of foods yet.
" I'm sorry." She admitted softly." I... What does this.. haam of your's look like?" She asked again as she opened the refridgerator, suddenly pulling out a piece of cheese." haam?" She asked him, clearly not even having the slightest clue.

As Logan turned to her he noticed the item in her hand and realised he should probably just let her watch or this could get very complex very quickly.
" I'm sorry." She admitted softly." I... What does this.. haam of your's look like?"
"Not a problem, an' it's called cheese. But not a bad idea..." he took it from her and laid it on the counter. The waited for her to move off to one side and got the rest out of the fridge before moving back to the counter.
He picked up one of the knives and began to slice the ham and the green pepper. He broke the eggs into a jug and began to beat them in a rhythmic movement that gave away the frequency of it's use. After doing this, he turned the stove plate on and placed a pan ,which he quickly oiled, on it. As he diced the ingredients, he recited names of things to her and asked if she knew them.
Her was about to start cutting mushroom when he stopped, something occuring to him. He turned to Aurelie and asked" You don' mind these do you?" He didn't but he knew there were some that refused to eat them or were allergic to them...

Aurelie slowly moved out of his way, even though it made her feel rather useless. The idea of letting a man cook for her came off to her as very odd. It was supposed to other way around, she was certain of it. However, she said nothing until he began asking her about the ingredients.
She nodded as he mentioned eggs, softly murmuring the words in French after he told them to her in English. However, as he held up the mushrooms she seemed a tad unsure. She slowly approached, carefully taking one in her hand. She sniffed it and then took a bite, appraently not knowing that eating them raw wasn't the best of ideas.
She munched on it for a few seconds, then gave a soft nod with a light smile." Les champagnes." She told him. " I've.. never had them before, but.. they taste good." Of course, some mushrooms could be a little toxic when not cooked, but this didn't seem to affect Aurelie in the slightest.

Logan was relieved when she didn’t seem to mind. He continued at quite a speed and poured the batter into a pan less than a minute later. As he waited for the contents to cook he turned his attention back onto Aurelie but said nothing to her, just kept his eyes on her. Although his memory had returned, it seemed like a memory of a movie. Although he was watched it, it didn’t feel like his. He hoped that the odd feeling would subside of leave entirely.
He grabbed two plates behind him before setting the plates down and placing the dishes in the sink. From the moment he stepped into the kitchen to the moment he sung into his chair with a soda for her, a beer for himself and cutlery; only twenty minutes had passed. He opened both drinks and tucked in before looking back at his lunch guest.
