Reira had yet again slept over the ringing of her alarm clock, which she had so carefully set of the bedside table the night before. She had received instructions to attend a Squad meeting and she did not want to be late. Walking in with everyone single soul staring at you, like you just murdered someone, is not the greatest thing to experience. Reira therefore was now running like her life depended on it. Out of breath she ignored most of her peers greetings, as she dashed past them.
‘Please God let Mr. Os be in a good mood,’ thought Reira to herself as she neared Apotheosis’s meeting room. Slowing down into a fast paced walk she took a few deep breathes to calm herself down, so that she didn’t enter the room like she was going to have a baby. Sticking her hands in her pocket she also pulled out a tissue to wipe the little sweat, she had gathered from her run, on her forehead. Finally reaching the door in a somewhat presentable manner, Reira put her hand on the doorknob and let herself in.
Upon entering the room Reira was surprised at not hearing the many gasps and exasperated tones of students, as per usual. Instead it was pretty silent in the meeting room. Looking around now she noticed that no one except Mr. Os was present. ‘Great…here I go making a wild dash fit for the insane and low and behold no one is here. Just my day!’ she thought yet again silently cursing to herself. Facing Mr. Os now she said, “I am sorry for being late. My alarm clock…wasn’t the great wonder I thought it was.” Hmm..well not exactly the apology one would expect, but Reira was Reira, and what came out of her mouth was directness to the extreme.
