[Aurelie Laroux]

What was one to do on a slow boring day when the weather was gentle and warm? Hang out at the pool, of course! Aurelie had been suffereing such a day, and the idea of resting in the sun sounded very good to her. She walked to the ppol, wearing a royal blue two-piece. However it covered her, a good thing for the rather modest girl. Her blonde hair was free to blow and move about as it wished, yet her skin was so very pale, obviously she wasn't the sort to sunbathe regularly. She found herself a decent chair and laid down.

As she laid, she moved her hips, trying to get into a comfortable position. She eventually found a decent spot and stayed there, smiling softly. The cool water of the pool looked so very inviting, yet she feared it would be better for her to simply lay here. It may be just a little bit too cool for her.

She yawned, tempted to fall asleep here. It was highly possible that she would, seeing as it was nice and warm. Her eyelids grew heavy as she closed them, merely relaxing as she laid there, enjoying her time as she relaxed in the sun.

She smiled softly, wondering about those she knew around the Institute, Gregory, Lux and Nate. They should plan a day to just relax here sometime. It would probably be a lot of fun. She was slowly growing used to the idea of having friends around here. In fact, friends were rather comforting. She was looking much better now. Her weeks here had allowed her to gain some needed weight. When she had came to this place, she had been barely 85 pounds, literally a walking skeleton. She was now a healthier weigth of 110 pounds. She was a great success tot he school, living proof that a mutant with a record of destruction could turn around when given a good home and basic needs.

All day long, Nate had been either rough-housing with the guys, or playing basketball... sometimes a little of both at the same time. Either way, he had worked up a sweat, and his flesh was nearly at hot as fire with the immense circulation. Dropping the basketball off in his dorm, he grabbed a towel and his swimming trunks, and made his way down to the pool. As soon as he made it to the edge of the pool, he dove in.

"Ahh." The water wasn't cold, by any means, but it was a cool relief to the heat. He began to swim some quick laps in the pool to 'cool down' from the physical work out. Once the laps were completed, he took the stairs out of the pool. Water droplets gently glided down his tanned body. He grabbed his white towel, and wrapped it around his waste, then turned to the set of lounging chairs. This was when he saw Aurelie. He walked over to one of the lounging chairs next to her.

"Mind if I sit here?" He asked with an inquisitive smile.

Aurelie had almost fallen asleep, however when she heard someone else she gave a quick glance to the pool, not noting who it was, but not really minding. However, when she heard the question she opened her eyes and looked straight to Nate, honestly, a little shocked.

She gave him a soft nod, but then blinked and shook her head, realizing what he asked her." Yes.. I mean.. no.. You can sit there if you want." She said softly, a little confused on how she really should have answered.It was then that she recalled where she had met him before. In the library, with that rather horrible friend of his. She shivered at the memory, then quickly glanced around, as if to be sure that Derek hadn't followed Nate in as well.

Not seeing Derek, she visibly relaxed. She gave a deep relieved sigh and then slowly looked to Nate." So what brings you here? I thought you were going to play the balls and baskets game all day. I mean, that's what you always do, isn't it?" She'd admitt that she had noticed him outside one quite a few occasions, but she hadn't quite grasped the concept of basketball yet.

Nate watched Aurelie with a slightly amused expression on his face, as she stumbled about with what exactly was to be said to his question. He smiled and took a seat in the lounging chair, leaning back, raising his arms to places his hands behind his head. Even he sometimes stumbled with wether yes or no was the right answer to 'Mind if I...?' Yes could have meant, yes, take a seat, or it could have been 'Yes, I do mind'.

His head turned to Aurelie when she asked about the balls and basket game. At first, he was a little confused, but then he put it together. "O, you mean, Basketball? Yeah, I just got done playing. I needed a little cool down time though." He said. He was glad not to be sweaty anymore. "So, are you into any sports?" He asked, trying to make small talk.

Aurelie blinked as she listened to him, trying to understand is questions." In sports? No.. I don't recall hearing of any sport based from me." She admitted softly." But you're good at sports, maybe you have a few sports made about you." She said simply with a happy smile.

She gave a soft sort of innocent mile once she finished. It seemed clear that she was still trying to adjust to modern speech. However, she didn't seem to know that she had made a mistake, just giving a soft smile.
