Original Airing date: January 5th, 2006 at the OSW Pay Per View:
Old School Wrestling III: Battlefield
Rurik Krychek vs. Ben Hurst vs. Dave Richmond vs. Matt Cage
For the Old School Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship
---------------------------------------
(Announcer) Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled as the first ever OSW Cage Match. The rules are set as escape only, and it is for the Heavyweight Championship of the World!
The lights go out as the big screen shows a black background with green letters and numbers spinning around. Suddenly several characters settle in front of them one at a time spelling out: "D4V3 R1(|-|/\/\0|\||) > J00" followed by a large pyro shooting on stage. "Up Up Down Down Left Right B A Start" by The Ataris starts playing as the lights turn back on. Dave is standing on the stage with his back to the audience, wearing a pair of sun glasses, dark blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and he has his OSW Old School Championship around his waist, with his arms out stretched. Dave spins around, revealing his t-shirt has a crest with "1337" written across the top of it. Dave walks down to the ring, strutting to the ring. Richmond arrives at the cage, and looks up at it. Richmond walks around the cage to a group of three people wearing l33t shirts. Richmond leans against the barrier, talking to them.
(Announcer) Introducing first, he is the self-proclaimed still OSW Old School Champion, hailing from Leonardo, New Jersery, T3h 1337 1 Daaave Richmond!
Generic rock music begins to play and the crowd has some mixed reactions towards Matt Cage as he walks out from the back. Cage walks down to the ring, not doing anything special. Cage arrives at the stairs leading to the door of the cage. He walks to the top one, and looks at Richmond, as Richmond removes his sun glasses and shirt, handing them to the people in l33t shirts. Richmond watches Cage get into the ring. Cage walks to a corner and leans into it, staring at the door.
(Announcer) Introducing second, he is the silent one, hailing from current parts unknown, Matt Cage!
"All My Life" by Foo Fighters hits the pa system, and at that very second, nearly everyone in the arena get to their feet and cheers as Ben Hurst steps out from the back, wearing his sleeveless hooded jacket over his lower half he wears red tracksuit like trousers on the sides of which is a black flame pattern similar to that of bret harts tights which is outlined by a white trim, whilst just poking out of the trousers are white wrestling boots with black soles. On his arms he wears black elbow pads and around his hands and wrists he wears red wrist tape. A sequence of rapid flashing lights more over the audience, ring, and the cage as Hurst makes his way to the ring. Hurst stares to the ring, focused on the match, not paying attention to the crowd for the time being. Hurst walks to the ring, gets to the ring and jogs up the stairs. Hurst steps into the ring and goes to a corner. Hurst takes the jacket off and tosses it over the cage before leaning in the corner, staring at the cage, and Cage.
(Announcer) Introducing third, he is pro-claimed new age excellence of execution, hailing from Walsall, England, "Karnage" Ben Hurst!
The lights dim and the crowd boo, knowing who's left. "Revolution" by Tool and Rage Against The Machine replaces Hurst's music. Little white circles circle around the arena as Rurik Krychek walks out from the back, gray wrist/fist/arm tape, black elbow pads, boots, knee pads, shin guards, tights with silver 1's and 0's on it, and skin tight sleeveless shirt tucked into his tights with "TOOL" dead center on it. He has a glossy white trench coat, no sun glasses to water down his view of the cage, and the OSW World Title around his waist. Krychek is also painted on his left side red, and his right side is white. Krychek arrives at the ring and looks at Richmond as he removes his title and coat. Krychek hands it to a stage hand and steps up the steps and into the ring. Krychek walks across the ring and leans in a corner.
(Announcer) Introducing fourth, he is the OSW Heavyweight Champion of the World, hailing from the proverbial Arizona Bay, Rurik Krychek!
A referee outside the ring tells Richmond to get into the ring. Richmond takes off his championship and hands it to the l33t shirt people, and walks to the stairs. Richmond walks up the stairs and steps into the ring and the referee shuts the door.
Al: One question right quick...
Fix: Yes?
Al: What is Arizona Bay?
Fix: You're asking a question that comes from the man who spent the last weeks in a cage, who knows.
Ash: Well I mean it's not like Krychek is WRITING all of this, it has to have come from some where.
Al: Yes, that would be absurd to say Krychek is writing all of this.
The bell rings and Richmond immediately tries stepping through the ropes to go through the door, but Cage and Hurst dart over to him, grabs his jeans and pulls him back into the ring. Krychek walks over, grabs Richmond and shoves him out of the corner. Krychek sits in the corner with the door as Cage and Hurst get back into their corner, watching Krychek. Richmond, climbs to the top rope in a corner, and faces the ring, waiting for someone to make a move, hoping for a distraction. The four men keep looking at each other, back and forth for a while, not making a move.
Fix: It's do or die at this point, first man to make a real move gets bombarded.
Ash: Why?
Al: Because any man that looks like he might get the edge would likely get nailed from every direction to stop it.
After a little while longer, the time keeper rings the bell again, not knowing if the wrestlers even heard it. At this point Richmond quickly turns his back to the ring and begins trying to climb out. Hurst and Cage quickly dart to Richmond, each grab a leg as Richmond hangs onto the top of the cage and pulls at it. Krychek smirks as he lays down and rolls onto the apron, and pushes the door open. Cage looks over and darts over to Krychek, and grabs his leg as Krychek was pulling himself out. Cage pulls Krychek back into the ring and quickly begins stomping his face. Hurst finally gets Richmond off the top rope, and levels him with a punch. Cage grabs Krychek's head and pulls him up. Hurst and Cage back their l33t members into opposite corners and whip them at each other. Krychek reverses his, however, and Richmond and Cage run into each other, promptly knocking each other over. Both quickly roll to corners and get to a sitting position as Krychek and Hurst walk to the middle of the ring, slowly circling as they do so.
Fix: There are so many levels of thinking involved here, at this point the most tension we've felt is right now.
Al: As champion and former champion circle the center.
Fix: These two have been at each other's throats since Krychek first got his number one contender shot several months ago.
Krychek and Hurst finally stop the circling as Cage and Richmond just stare at them, not getting involved in that. Krychek begins strutting and smiling as Hurst has a more serious look to him, not playing mind games, just wanting to wrestle. They finally stop, and position their arms, as though to go for a tie up, however, Krychek backs out and continues the circling as Hurst just stands still and screams at Krychek to stop it. Hurst smirks as Krychek looks a bit shocked at Hurst's out burst. Krychek raises a hand and points to the palm. Hurst watches Krychek's eyes as Richmond and Cage slowly pull them selves up to a vertical base, not taking their eyes off the tension in the middle of the ring. Hurst slowly raises his arm, and they slowly lock their fingers. Krychek and Hurst raise the other arms and lock the fingers and then go to shove at each other, but Richmond flies into the picture and clobbers Hurst with a clothesline, breaking the finger lock.
Ash: I wonder if they had that planned.
Al: We saw earlier how they said it was just another game of chess.
Ash: I didn't quite get that...
Fix: It's because Krychek and Richmond, best of friends, dorks among dorks, have obviously played numerous amounts of games together, to them it's just another round of a game.
Ash: But that doesn't answer if that was planned by them.
Fix: It very likely was, Krychek and Richmond have this bond, they don't need to speak to each other to let the other know what they're thinking.
Cage charges into view and clobbers Krychek with a right hand, knocking him down. Richmond and Cage take turns giving each other right hands. Richmond ducks one, runs to the ropes, leaps onto the top rope as Cage spins around. Richmond fakes jumping backwards, but just jumps up and tries getting out of the cage. Cage climbs up the ropes and grabs Richmond around the waist as Richmond frantically tries getting out. Cage clubs him in the back a couple of times before German supplying him from the ropes. Richmond holds onto the cage wall as Cage continues trying. Hurst slowly begins to get up, taking his time, seeing that nothing is in danger of being over. Krychek, however, gets to his knees quickly, walks on his knees under Cage and low blows him. Krychek gets up as Cage falls. Krychek notices Hurst up, Hurst walks over to Krychek, Krychek grabs Richmond's legs and heaves to the side, sending Richmond into Hurst with a crossbody.
Al: Does anyone else notice that Krychek is seemingly avoiding Hurst?
Fix: Well he's trapped, he'll have to face him at some point even if he is.
Ash: But I'm not sure he really is, this is Krychek after all, nothing is ever as it seems with him when it comes to the ring.
Richmond rolls to his stomach and looks over at Krychek with an odd look, despite knowing they agreed it being just another game of chess, Richmond looks irritated. Krychek shrugs it off and grabs Cage's head. Krychek grabs Cage's head and pulls him up, as Cage holds himself. Hurst crawls to a corner, staying down and out of the way until he gets back up and finds out what all is going on. Krychek slams Cage's head into the turnbuckle and backs into the middle of the ring, positioning him for something as Richmond gets up quickly. Richmond's first order of business on his feet is to run, grab Krychek's head and go for the PWN3d!, but Krychek shoves Richmond off to the ropes. Richmond rebounds, comes back, Krychek lifts him onto his shoulders for the Kingdom's Fall. Richmond flails around, gets his leg out of Krychek's grasp, kicks his legs up, and somersaults to his feet, out of Krychek's grasp. They turn to each other, and strike squatting poses so-to-speak, with fists clenched and ready to punch.
Ash: Stand off, FROM THE L33T!
Fix: They truly will go against each other in this match. Not to harm, but just knowing that the big prize is on the line tonight.
Hurst and Cage dive out of the corners, Cage knocks Krychek down with a forearm, as Hurst bulldogs Richmond. Both Cage and Hurst get up as the l33t roll to the apron. Cage and Hurst begin throwing rights and lefts. Cage starts getting his ground, knocking Hurst back. Cage runs to the ropes, comes back, and levels Hurst with a clothesline, falling to the ground in addition to Hurst. Cage gets up and grabs Hurst's head. Cage pulls Hurst to his feet, and jabs him before whipping him into the corner. Hurst walks up the turnbuckle, and leaps at the top of the cage. Hurst begins pulling himself up and out as Cage darts and climbs up the turnbuckle as well, rear waist locking Hurst. Hurst tries elbowing Cage, but can't reach his head from where Cage hides it, and kicks him in the knee.
Al: Anyone notice how the cage really hasn't come into play yet, aside from people climbing?
Ash: The full on brawling we're expecting hasn't come yet, but once it does, that cage will be just as violent as a car hitting an old woman.
Fix: ... That was disturbing.
Hurst turns around as Cage holds the cage to keep himself from falling over. Hurst grabs his head and punches him as Richmond and Krychek get back up. Both climb up on either side of Cage and slug Hurst. Hurst punches Krychek, and elbows Richmond. Cage shoves forward, spearing Hurst into the cage. Hurst grunts in pain as Richmond clubs the back of Cage. Krychek grabs Cage's head, bends him over backwards and grabs his head as though to go for a reverse ddt, but Hurst punches Krychek, not wanting a big move to be done on the only other non-l33t person. Krychek releases that hold as Cage brings himself up. Richmond elbows Hurst into the cage as Cage elbows Krychek. All four men take a brief breathing pause before all throw punches. Cage is stunned after a punch he receives, allowing Krychek just long enough to grab his arm, grab his head, wrap a leg around his and fall off backwards with The Leg Sweep from the top rope.
Ash: The Leg Sweep! THE LEG SWEEP!
Fix: Krychek sacrificed himself by blindly falling backwards, no padding, no protection!
Al: And let's not forget, Richmond and Hurst are still up there.
Hurst elbows Richmond, Richmond elbows Hurst. Hurst knee lifts Richmond's gut and Richmond begins side stepping on the top rope, trying to get away from Hurst to catch his breath. Hurst steps after him and chops him. Richmond stumbles off, falling to his knees. Hurst steps down, knowing if he tries going out now he'll be caught. Krychek crawls away from Cage, feeling his own back. Hurst grabs Richmond by the waist, and throws him with a back drop, into the cage, but Richmond catches the cage with his hands, and fights through the pain of his legs and body hitting the cage and climbs upside down, going for the outside of the cage. Hurst, isn't even aware someone would think of it, as Richmond has his legs over the cage, and begins to go down. Krychek notices, gets to his feet, runs past Hurst, leaps to the top rope in one jump and grabs a fist full of Richmond's hair.
Al: Richmond came very close to being our new World Champion.
Fix: But Krychek, note, KRYCHEK, stopped him.
Ash: And what a way to stop him, Richmond would have to shed his hair to get away right now.
Richmond pulls himself back up some as Krychek brings Richmond's face to his and asks him very calmly; "Where are you going?" Krychek snapmares Richmond off the cage, Richmond lands on his feet, leaps for a bulldog on Hurst who's feeling his face from the elbows earlier, but Hurst shoves Richmond a head of him, grabs the waist and does a German suplex to Richmond, sending him into Krychek, sandwiching Krychek between a dork and a steel thing. Krychek, falls between the ropes and the cage, shocked at the move. Matt Cage begins to get up, while Richmond and Krychek nurse the wounds. Cage makes it to his feet, walks over to Hurst and slugs him. Hurst responds with a punch of his own. Cage knee lifts Hurst, and hooks his arm for a hip toss, but Hurst stops himself from flipping, grabs Cage's head and drops down with a ddt. Krychek very slowly begins getting up.
Fix: As much as it looked painful, it's very early on, and it'll take a few big moves to knock people down for an extended period of time.
Al: Meanwhile, Richmond was dropped on his head, so he could be dealing with a concussion.
Krychek gets up and steps through the ropes as Hurst gets up. They look at each other, and nod, knowing they're going to do this now. They stare at each other for a bit, saying a few things while Richmond and Cage slowly get up. Cage charges Krychek, Richmond charges Hurst, Krychek and Hurst grab their charging opponents by the head and guide them face first into the steel cage, sending those two to the mat and rolling to the apron. Krychek and Hurst turn back to each other, to a loud response from the crowd. They nod and begin to circle, ignoring the crowd, ignoring the other people, ignoring the cage, just going back to that one night, back at Untouchable.
Al: It should've been Ben Hurst and Krychek tonight in the cage, not Matt Cage, not Dave Richmond, and it looks like we'll actually see it.
Fix: These two have had a long talk about the cage, about it's symbol, about it's hidden meanings.
Al: I have another question...
Fix: Yes?
Al: Why is Krychek half white and half red?
Fix: I believe it has to do with...to be honest I have no clue.
Ash: Do you just start your answers with that before even figuring out the response?
Fix: Yes.
Krychek and Hurst soon lock up and push at each other. Krychek, as always, is the one to be pushed down, Krychek swings his legs for a drop toe hold, but Hurst jumps over them, Krychek spins to his knees, gets up, and they go back to the lock up. Hurst goes through with a hammerlock, and shoves Krychek off. Krychek rebounds off the ropes, comes back and Hurst hip tosses Krychek, but Krychek counters by just jumping around to Hurst's other side, hip tosses him, Hurst lands back and leg first on the ropes, springs to his feet, leaps up, wraps his legs around Krychek's head and hurricanranas him. The crowd cheers as Hurst takes a stance, waiting and stalking Krychek until he gets up. Krychek slowly get to his feet, Hurst charges in front of Krychek, rebounds off the ropes, leaps, grabs his head and goes for the Absolute Karnage, but Krychek shoves Hurst off. Hurst stops not far from Krychek, turns back to him and takes a complete shot.
Ash: Complete shot saves Krychek from the beating he was taking.
Cage and Richmond pull themselves up as Krychek slowly begins pulling himself up. Hurst feels his face, as he drapes an arm over the bottom rope, just to give himself a sense of where he is. Richmond and Cage meet in the middle of the ring with a few punches. Cage gets the better of Richmond and whips him to the ropes. Richmond comes back, ducks Cage's clothesline attempt, grabs the arm, and whips him to the ropes. Cage leaps onto the middle rope and flies back with a moonsault, lands on his feet after Richmond side steps, grabs his head in a reverse PWN3d! while facing the same way as Cage, and drops down with a unique version of a neck breaker. Richmond pulls himself up and quickly leaps onto the top rope in a corner and begins climbing up. With Krychek just barely up, Richmond begins climbing out. Krychek notices, and runs across the ring.
Ash: Here we go again, Krychek won't let Richmond win.
Krychek climbs to the top, and grabs a pant leg of Richmond as Richmond has the other on the other side. Krychek pulls Richmond back in while Hurst and Cage gets back up. Hurst and Cage stumble towards the corner with Richmond, Krychek's holding onto Richmond's leg. Richmond pulls his legs in and shoves Krychek off. Cage and Hurst catch Krychek as Richmond heaves himself up some. Before Cage, Hurst, or Krychek can get up, Richmond leaps up, spins around while landing on the top of the cage and finishes off his double jump intro with a moonsault press off the top of the cage, wiping out all three men. Richmond bounces off holding his chest as the crowd cheers for the spot.
Al: Oh my God!
Ash: Wow...that was...unbelievable.
Fix: And just think, that was Richmond, Hurst said he had some things in mind.
Cage, who was the only one that didn’t catch the full impact of the move, begins to pull himself up. Cage makes it to his feet, and staggers a bit before walking to the cage wall. Cage grabs it, shakes his head and climbs up the ropes. Richmond notices Cage's ascending, and begins pulling himself up. As soon as Cage arrives at the top rope, Richmond is on his feet and runs. Richmond runs past Cage, leaps onto the top rope of a set of ropes, leaps back and nails a springboard dropkick on Cage. Both land and hit the ground. Richmond landed on his chest, again, causing him to continue clutching it. Cage holds his lower back as Ben Hurst begins to move. Hurst crawls a bit, soon arriving at his knees, he looks around at all three others being down. Hurst pulls himself to his feet, staggering, and walks to the cage. Hurst grabs it with both hands and begins pulling himself up.
Fix: Hurst has it! He's going to be the new champion!
Al: No one can deny it if he does, that he is the greatest World Champion OSW ever had.
Hurst is nearly to the top as Krychek begins pulling himself up. Hurst is straddles the top of the cage, a leg on either side. Hurst pauses to catch his breath before looking down at Krychek, who has made it to his feet, and is looking away from Hurst. Hurst stares at him, while Krychek begins piecing together what's happening. Krychek begins counting the bodies, and notices one is missing. Hurst quickly gets onto the top of the cage, standing on it. Krychek looks around, regaining awareness, before turning around, and seeing Hurst on the top of the cage. Hurst, without hesitation, leaps at Krychek, turning horizontal, for a crossbody.
Al: NO HURST! NOOOO!
Ash: His love of the World title can only be surpassed by his hatred of Krychek.
Krychek puts a leg behind him for bracing, as Hurst collides with him. Krychek catches him and stumbles backwards, trying not to fall over. Krychek catches his balance, snaps his hips, causing the crowd to chant "bullshit" at Krychek. Krychek hits a t-bone suplex, still holding Hurst after he hits. Krychek gets to his knees, applies a full head and wing catch, and snaps backwards, bringing Hurst over with a complete shot from the ground to the ground. Krychek then applies his AEnema. The crowd continues booing as Krychek wrenches the move as hard as he can on Hurst. Hurst tries pushing on Krychek's leg, wanting to get it away from his throat. Hurst grabs the bottom rope as quick as he notices he's there, but since it's a cage match there's no rope breaks...or submissions thankfully to Hurst.
Ash: That's what Hurst gets for trying such a stupid move, he had the World in his hands.
Al: Krychek should consider himself lucky that the momentum Hurst had didn't break his leg.
Krychek soon lets go, and pulls himself up as Hurst holds his throat. Krychek walks to a corner and begins climbing up it. Krychek grabs the top of the cage and begins pulling himself to the top. Krychek looks back and notices Richmond is beginning to get up. Krychek moves so he's sitting on the top of the cage. Krychek grins, as Richmond pulls himself up. Krychek lunges forward at Richmond going for his Third Eye...however, Richmond leaps into the air and lands a dropkick to Krychek's face as Krychek went at him. Richmond sits up and looks at Krychek with wide eyes, not realizing it was Krychek before he did it. Richmond looks around, and smiles. Richmond falls back and takes a breather.
Fix: And what goes around comes around for Krychek.
Richmond rolls to his stomach and begins crawling for the door, he soon arrives there and grabs the middle rope. Richmond pulls himself to a standing situation, stands up straight, throwing his chest out, and shakes the hair out of his eyes, as Hurst, Cage, and very slowly, Krychek begins to move. Krychek is only to his elbows as Hurst and Cage are to their knees, holding the ropes to begin helping themselves up. Richmond asks for the door to be opened, which it is. Richmond calmly steps through the ropes, and stands on the apron, the door wide open. Richmond grins, very proud of himself. Richmond cocks his head to the side, opens his arms as says "Welcome Your New World Champion!" Richmond goes to step off, but Hurst and Cage darted to him and grabs his legs. Richmond looks down as they yank back, causing Richmond to trip and go hands first out of the cage, hands on ring side.
Fix: Unfortunately for Richmond, his feet must be on the floor, not his hands.
Ash: He spent far too much time gloating there, it's a damn shame too.
Richmond claws at the ring side mats, trying to stay outside as Hurst and Cage pull him back in. Richmond grabs the outside of the cage and pulls, trying to out power the two men, however, and obviously, Richmond doesn't succeed and his hands slip off the cage. Richmond grabs the apron next, and begins to pull the two men with him as he grabs the stairs, but they pull him right back in. Richmond is put onto his back, where he then pulls Hurst and Cage close to him with his feet and shove them off. The referee had began to close the cage door as Richmond then tries crawling frantically out. The referee reopens and Richmond is almost out as Krychek, now up, has arrived at Richmond, and grabbed both legs. Hurst and Cage get up as Richmond is pulling Krychek, REALLY wanting to win. Hurst and Cage grabs his legs, Richmond grabs the referee by his shirt, and all three men yank Richmond...and the referee, into the ring.
Ash: Wow...Richmond REALLY didn't want to lose.
Fix: Now the referee is in danger.
Krychek quickly snap jabs Hurst in the face, and then snapmares him away from Cage who is stomping Richmond as the referee has backed himself in a corner, staying away from the wrestlers. Krychek steps to the door, and steps onto the apron. Cage runs to him, grabs his head, and begins pulling him back in. Krychek is pulled back into the ring and quickly ddt'd by Cage. Cage grabs the top rope and pulls himself up. Cage steps onto the apron, but before he can step off the apron the door is violently shoved and shuts on Cage's head. Ivan Rurik then appears in the picture with the "Missing" l33t members James Unger and the Black Mage. Ivan grabs Cage's head, bends him over and uppercuts him hard enough for him to flip over the ropes back into the ring. Ivan then shuts the door as Unger runs off to a commentator and takes his chair.
Fix: Damn them! DAMN THE L33T!
Al: This was a good contest, then these guys had to come in and ruin it all.
Fix: The bastard took my chair!
Ash: He seemed to be good at it, like he's done or seen it several times before...
Unger walks back to the other l33tests and watches for anyone that tries to get out. Richmond, Hurst, Cage, and Krychek all slowly begin to get back to their feet. Richmond gets up first, and darts to a corner, where he leaps onto the top rope yet again, and leaps onto the top of the cage, bound and determined to get out. However, Cage, holding his head, runs up to the corner Richmond is in and climbs up. Cage grabs his pants to stop him. Richmond turns around on top of the cage and Cage punches him. Cage climbs up the cage some and grabs Richmond for a superplex. Before Cage can pull it off, Krychek has climbed up behind Cage, grabbing him around the waist, going for a super back drop. Hurst sneaks over to them, and positions himself under Krychek, for a power bomb. By now the referee is in the fetal position between the ropes and cage. Hurst shoves forward, power bombing Krychek, as Krychek super back drops Cage, as Cage superplexes Richmond. Hurst kneels down in exhaustion.
Fix: Get out Hurst! They're down, they're hurt, GET THE WORLD!
Al: Being beat up by the l33t is a small price to pay for being the champion.
Hurst pulls himself up, and begins climbing up the cage in the same corner he just threw his opponents from. Hurst arrives at the top but hears the sound of steel hitting steel. He looks down and notices James Unger hitting the cage with the chair. He looks up as Ivan walks over. BM begins pulling things out from under the ring. Hurst looks down, and contemplates what he should do. Hurst looks to the crowd and gets mixed reactions as to whether he should just go down, or wait. Hurst begins to pull himself down by a chair shot from Unger comes close to hitting his legs, so he pulls himself back up, right back to the top of the cage. Hurst sees all three men are down, takes a deep breath and lunges at them, landing a diving head butt to Matt Cage. Hurst goes limp after the move.
Fix: Holy shit.
Ash: Did you see his neck fling around?
Al: He's not moving, but then...the only one that is, is the referee.
The referee, sees all men are down, and gets up. He darts for the door, and opens it, but is met by a front elbow from Ivan, instinctively stopping anyone from leaving. The referee falls to the mat as Ivan then shuts the door. Krychek, having taken the least amount of pain from the group, begins to crawl towards a side of the cage. Krychek arrives there and shakes it, thinking it's the door. Krychek slowly notices it's not, and grunts. Krychek reaches into his tights and pulls out the wire cutters. Krychek begins snipping away at the cage wall, trying to make a hole big enough for him to go through.
Fix: Oh come on!
Ash: He's brilliant!
Al: He's a chicken.
Krychek gets two sides of his hole finished, and decides to just pull through. Krychek begins pushing through it, but Richmond crawls over to him and grabs his ankles. Krychek stops and looks back as Richmond gets up. Richmond yanks Krychek back into the ring and takes off for a set of ropes. Richmond comes back, Krychek gets up and leaps as Richmond does, and they hit each other with cross bodies. Krychek and Richmond hit the ground, and don't move, as Cage and Hurst continue laying, out of it.
Fix: All four men are down.
After a few moments all four men slowly begins to move, Hurst clutching his neck. Krychek looks at Black Mage and says something. BM goes under the ring, pulls out a kendo stick and hands it to Krychek through the cage. All four men arrive at their feet, Krychek spins around, swings the kendo stick and nails Richmond in the forehead. Richmond drops holding his head as Krychek then hits Hurst, and sends him stumbling into the ropes. Krychek hits Cage in the stomach, applies a russian leg sweep position, holding the kendo stick across Cage's throat. Krychek falls back with the White Russian Leg Sweep, getting boos from the crowd and a "Sandman" chant from a few others.
Al: Shades of Sandman of ECW fame right there.
Ash: Krychek always is evolving in the ring, he's always looking for something new to surprise people.
Krychek notices Hurst and measures him up for another one. Krychek swings, Hurst ducks and chops Krychek. Hurst takes the kendo stick from Krychek, tosses it over the cage and nails the Absolute Karnage. Richmond begins pulling himself up as does Hurst. They meet in the center of the ring with a few blows. Richmond ducks a punch from Hurst and knees him in the gut. Richmond bends him over backwards and applies a dragon sleeper. Richmond extends two fingers and his thumb on his free hand, and puts it to his head before mimicking a gun shot to his head, and swings his arm. Richmond kneels down and uses his swinging arm to hit Hurst on the chest, and bring him down, neck first onto the extended knee, debuting the Headshot. The crowd "Oohs".
Ash: Headshot! HEADSHOT!
Fix: Richmond's new move just further damaged the neck of Hurst.
Ash: And that is why he is my American hero!
Al: Sit down, and stop acting like a suck up to the l33t.
Richmond gets up as Cage begins to pull himself up. Richmond runs to the ropes, comes back and leaps for the PWN3d! on him, but Cage shoves him off to the ropes, Richmond comes back, Cage ducks, grabs his legs, stands up, grabs Richmond's head and hits the emerald fusion. Cage then pulls himself up. Ivan quickly opens the door. BM, Unger, and Ivan quickly get into the ring, Ivan holding a pipe of some sort. Ivan gets in and shuts the door as BM and Unger charge over and begin beating on Cage in a corner. Ivan takes the pipe and bends it through the holes in the cage and the cage door, so it cannot be opened. Ivan then turns as Cage is failing to fight off BM and Unger with rights and lefts. Ivan charges and lands a giant big boot to the face of Cage.
Fix: This isn't right!
Ash: Right, wrong, legal, illegal, it doesn't matter!
Krychek, Hurst, and Richmond pull themselves up. Unger turns and begins a fist fight with Hurst, who's too weak to really fight Unger off. BM walks over and punches Hurst in the stomach. BM whips Hurst into a corner as Krychek comes to the center of the ring and talks to BM. Unger then grabs Cage and begins punching him in the corner as Ivan walks to the ropes near BM and Hurst, waiting for something. Richmond takes a small breather, watching everyone.
Fix: We have to be nearing the end of this, the cannot continue much longer.
Al: It's been nearly an hour.
BM tries whipping Hurst to Krychek, but Hurst reverses as Krychek as already bent down. BM is tossed to Krychek, Krychek lifts him up and drops him with the Kingdom's Fall as Hurst charges to Ivan quickly and nails the Absolute Karnage. Meanwhile, Richmond has bounced off the ropes, leapt for a PWN3d! on Cage, but Cage shoves him off, Richmond flies over to Unger and hits it on him accidentally. All four of the legal men get to their feet if they weren't already. They all stumble, not aware of other people, and come to their own cage walls. All four begin climbing up.
Fix: It's a race!
Ash: I'm sure the l33t has won more than their share of races.
Al: Will you get off them.
The four of them continue climbing up, at a reasonable pace, no one getting an advantage over another. They all arrive at the top of the cage, all tired from the near hour long cage match, they lay on the top of the cage for just a few seconds before all four of them just toss themselves forward, and fall out of the cage, all four hitting the mat at different times, however. The bell rings.
Ash: Who won?
Fix: I don't know, they all hit the floor, but someone had to hit it first.
Ash: Who was it?
Fix: I DON'T KNOW!
Al: Stop screaming into the microphone dammit.
Fix: Sorry, but he was getting annoying.
Ash: It's a fifty chance that an l33t member won!
The various officials are conversing around the ring and talking to the ring announcer, apparently debating about who should be declared the winner and the World Champion. Will it be Krychek? Richmond? Cage? Or Hurst? Well we’re about to find out because the ring announcer is lifting the microphone to his mouth.
(Announcer) Ladies and Gentleman the winner of the first ever Old School Cage Match and the OSW World Champion...Rurik Krychek!
Ash: The Champ retains!
Al: But does it matter? We aren’t going to be here next week...
Fix: Regardless of whether we’re going to be here next week Rurik Krychek has retained his World Title tonight and as OSW closes it’s doors he can claim to be the best we have to offer.
Ash: But how will he stack up against the best The NAFW has to offer?
Al: I guess we’ll find out next week on NAFW Carnage and Annihilation!
Fix: Indeed we will because as of next week that’s going to be the only place to catch the Old School roster. But tonight it is all about Rurik Krychek celebrating his victory inside a steel cage! I’m Jonathon Fix!
Al: I’m ‘Big’ Al Johnson.
Ash: And I’m Nathan Ash and on behalf of everyone within Old School Wrestling I want you all for inviting us into your homes, not only tonight but each and every week. The pleasure has been all ours but now we’re signing off!
The final image of Battlefield is Rurik Krychek perched on top of the steel cage with the OSW Title gripped in his hand and raised above his head. Followed by a black screen.
