Gate: Gate of Iron Wall

Inherited from her mother, Megumi Kurogane. Rin has the ability to create "barriers" for attacks; but she has to be focused at all times when opening her gate and as well doing her best to protect her allies from a 5km radius by creating a dome. The said gate also can neutralize damage at times depending on how far the enemy is from where she stands.

Physical Attributes: Brown hair that reaches her shoulders, and has brown eyes. She stands 5'5" and her built is an average. She's anemic so, she tends to have pale skin and at times she's very sick. Like Megumi, she has a distinct beauty mark near her right eye.

Her clothes are is reclined to Bohemian chic. Long skirts, cool tones and flip flops galore. And oh, bandanas too!

Personality: Her personality is like her mother- cool, calm and collective. She is the silent type, thus making her more focus which is required for her gate. Tends to be analytical at times and tends not to jump into conclusions. She could be temperamental also.

To others, she can be open but she tends not to speak at times. She's dubbed as a wallflower. Although, like Megumi, she's a perfectionist... trying to be the best of the best no matter what the cost.

To AEGIS, again, she could care less about it. As long as she follow orders- she's good.

And she's not going to have any relationships until she finishes her studies and become a lawyer...then get a boyfriend.

History:

After Kageyama's defeat, Megumi decided to isolate herself from the other gatekeepers, she was ashamed. Maybe. Once again, Ruriko Ikusawa defeated her.

After a few years, Megumi decided to move out of Tokyo and to settle in
the city of Okinawa not to mention she was recruited to be in Okinawa University . There she met the man of her dreams- Ieyasu Akizune.

Their love flourished, and they eventually got married. And they bore a healthy baby girl named Rin.

Rin's childhood is rather Topsy-turvy...in short it was complicated. Megumi is now your typical house-wife-slash-business woman; while Akizune is a successful lawyer. The man of the house is always out to who knows where, and of course Megumi is always spacing out. And as a child- both parents persuaded the girl to be number one.

At school, she's the over-achiever. Getting good grades was her priority. Like her mother, she has rivals on obtaining her goal. Not many people were close to her, because she would just ignore them or shoo them away.

At the age of ten, her mother fell ill and eventually died. The father and child eventually moved to Tokyo. Her father just started bringing home the usual harlot--different for each night. She would just lock herself in her room; while hearing her father and the harlot's laughters of pleasure.

Also at that point, Akizune began abusing her whenever she got a test score or a grade less than ninety. So she strive hard to attain it... being number one... because of love.

And yes, she obtained it...by being an honor roll student, a gold medalist in a plethora of competitions on various fields and quiz bees, granted scholarships from a variety of colleges...

Finally, she reached the goal that her mother told her to achieve when she was a child.

Now at seventeen, Rin is studying at an all girls' school named Saint Bridget's Academy. She really doesn't know why her father sent her there because they weren't Catholics nor of the Christian religion. Again, she was the smart-Aleck, the over achiever, the top notcher.

But one night, something happened in their household. Her father was acting weird and sort of delirious. Akizune was laughing maniacally, and saying random things. Rin tried to help... but to no avail her father brushed her to the side. "You were a burden to me...," The man hissed. "You are nothing to me."

Akizune then took out a pair of shades and smiled cockily as he placed the shades on the bridge of his nose. Then he transformed into something... Rin just slowly backed out and screamed for help, but to no avail.

The creature just slowly neared her, and it's hand transformed into a blade. Rin hit a wall, she got nowhere to go. "...Destroy." Said the mysterious figure as he raised his arm high and lunged it to Rin.

She screamed before the blade could even hit her and closed her eyes.

"What?"

Rin slowly opened her eyes and there was this barrier before her. The creature tried to attack but to no use. "Help me..." She muttered slowly cowering down.

"Help me."

Suddenly an arrow appeared out of nowhere and defeated the "thing"; and it formed a red crystal...then disappeared out of thin air.

A girl then approached her. She was a familiar face; she too was from Saint Bridget's. Rin kept quiet... but the girl told her that she was a gatekeeper like her mother, despite the fact Megumi betrayed the organization that the girl was working on and offered her a job to it.

Wait...what's the organization's name... ah... AEGIS.

She didn't know what the heck she was talking about but she was curious. So, she accepted the offer; because there was no one to take care of her.

...And she was made into a Gatekeeper.

Three years. Well, she broke her promise not having a boyfriend... but she became really close with this guy named Sacha Maksim; he too was a Gatekeeper of the European Branch of AEGIS... did I mention Sacha was captain too?

Eventually, Rin moved to Australia and was transfered to the Pacific branch for the mean time. Rin served the Pacific branch for a year; then took a vacation for another (even though there were still slight invader invasions that pissed her off). And finally, after a year, she moved back to the Far Eastern Branch.

Who the hell approved this without checking this profile completely? Anyway I'll screen this.

Apparently, Gate of Iron wall doesn't deplete one's stamina quickly. It's a very well rounded gate.

One, how can he way of speaking be a good trait? Two, Having a dull sense of the paranormal doesn't add up to the criteria of being a strength. This is better off into the trivia section.

The primary wall move used by Megumi is a near impenetrable block of something. It negates attacks both ranged AND melee. Furthermore, according to the anime, Megumi also exhibited a buffer wall, causing Ruriko to have no fall damage. This can be an additional gate ability in your list.
